Good, humane way to remove mice.
I started to hear scratching sounds around the house. Bought these traps and started using them in August 2022, so about 5 months of use since then. Immediately started to catch the cute but pesky little critters. I think I've caught and released about 15 or so mice thus far. I think I relocated an entire colony of them.Usability: Okay, so the trap is quite easy to use. Disclosure: I am clumsy and slow to figure new things out, but these traps are simple enough that even I figured them out quickly: you open the back door, set your bait on the lip of a lever just inside, and slide the back door back in place. Then you open the front door until it clicks and stays in place in the down position (so a mouse can walk over it towards your bait. The mouse steps on the lever towards the back end of the trap and voila, this springs the front door closed and the little guy (or girl) is not going anywhere. - there are breathing holes in the trap, obviously, so you when picking up the trap with a live mouse inside don't put your fingers on the holes so you don't get bit or scratched (I actually have not had a mouse try to do this to me anyway but just be safe), but the holes are spaced enough it's easy to grip the trap without touching the holes.Size: plenty big enough. I've had no problems with different size mice getting fully caught in the trap. I've not had to worry at all about their long tails getting pinched when the door springs shut. Also, once trapped, the trap is large enough that mice can still move around a little bit, but of course it isn't big enough to be a play pen or be humane to keep them there for very long. However, the trap is big enough i can see the mice move back and forth, turn around, and even climb on the ceiling, using the little breathing holes.Okay, the mouse is caught, now what? - first off, the trap is made of a thick green plastic material, and it might surprise you to learn that you need to sort of get close enough to the trap to be able to see clearly inside and see if you caught something. I don't know why they don't make it a little more transparent, but it's not a huge issue, it's minor. - in my experience you are catching most of your mice at nighttime. I want to be humane, but also I am not waking up every hour to go check the trap. What does this mean? It means by the time you wake up and go check the traps, your little buddy has been in the trap for a while, and probably eating all your bait. What does that mean? It means your little buddy has left many, many little pellets all over the bottom of your trap. Sorry, but it's true and you need to be aware of this. Because of the way the trap is made with the aforementioned lever inside the trap, many of the pellets will get under this lever and stick there. - all this is to say, expect some clean up afterwards. Once you have released the mouse far away from your house (and far away from anyone else's house, but hopefully near some kind of cover, food, and water source in nature), you will bring your trap back home and need to find a hose or faucet you can run water at a decent pressure through because you can't reach in with a cloth or sponge into the small space under that lever I mentioned. Some of the pellets may fall out of the trap onto your floor. Yep, so be prepared to clean the floor, too. - So, cleanup will be the biggest drawback of the trap. I'm not sure how to get around it, after all you are live-trapping a little pooping machine and it's just sitting there waiting for you to come around in the morning and let it go, so it has little else to do.Releasability: Fairly simple and easy. I haven't really had many issues. Once you have your secluded and far aways spot picked out, you slide the back door off the trap. Be ready! You should have the opening near the ground and pointing away from you. I had one very eager mouse that jumped out the moment I slid the door off and he jumped onto my arm and then onto the ground. However, having said that, most of the mice will take a couple of moments, and you'll have to be patient (say about 5-10 seconds and once they feel it's safe, they'll bolt out. They usually run straight under the nearby bush and then I don't see them again.Price: affordable, and based on how effective and reusable the traps are, worth it in my opinion.Overall: these traps are simple to start using. They are effective, highly reusable, and they are as humane as we can get if you, like me, are set on the principle of not cohabitating with the mice. I recommend the traps as a good purchase! The only downside, as mentioned previously, plan on spending a few minutes of clean up afterwards.By the way on wiki-how I found a helpful article on live-trapping and releasing mice humanely that gave me useful tips, both for my convenience and to try to lessen the (inevitable) trauma on the mouse.

Fantastic, easy to use, safe and successful
It took a few days because our house is so big, and the mouse is so small- but we finally got him 🙌! We were limited on where we could put the traps that our dogs wouldn't mess with them. The traps are very easy to use, and very safe, but the pups would smell the peanut butter or cheese and mess with the traps to try to get it. Once we placed them in strategic areas that the pups couldn't get to, the mouse went right on in- safe and sound and ready for relocation!! 10/10 reccomend for humane rodent trapping.

Excellent mouse trap.
This is an excellent mouse, not rat, but mouse trap. I have caught slightly over a dozen mice in the past 2 1/2 weeks and these things have never failed me. The only issue I have with the these traps is they are difficult to clean out, it would be nice if there was a larger opening in the base or some way of disassembling and reassembling this thing easily so you can clean out all the mouse turds. Other than that I absolutely highly recommend this product. It is very very good at catching mice humanely.

Magic!
My lovely cat has been gone for two years and my garage quite often shows trace of visit from mice. I got this product and put one of them in the garage right away with a little bit of sunflower seeds. Next morning, a little mouse was in the cage! I used it again 3 days later, guess what? Another mouse was caught! This small green device is a magic! It is well designed and easy to use.

Ordered because I hate to have to remove mice from the old-style traps
Liked that the traps worked. Took the first mouse to the woods and released. For some reason however, the next 2 were both dead even though I checked them daily.Liked they were easy to setup.Didn’t like cleaning. Instructions recommended using peanut butter as bait. Maybe I used too much, but found it tedious to clean. I'll experiment next time with using less. I also found removing the bait section difficult.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Got him first day out...
The multi pack was a bit of a rip off since the one trap wasn’t assembled right (the snap door with spring wasn’t seated in hinge holes at all) and once seated didn’t reach to latch down properly so could not be used. However, I did catch a mouse with some peanut butter and seeded bread on the first night I put it out. He was released under a grove of ferns out in the boonies. Good luck to him or her. No more poo on the kitchen counters... Yay!

Works perfectly!
I was ready to be patient and give it time to actually catch a mouse but I got my first mouse less than 2 hours after setting it up. Another two overnight. I used land o lakes American cheese and they worked perfectly. Highly recommend!! I drove all of them to the same spot to release. I can’t wait to catch the rest.

Best trap ever
Delivered to me on Saturday afternoon. I have had this little mouse running around my house for 2 weeks. I felt terrible thinking about having to kill him. It is not 11pm on Saturday night. Traps went down at 6pm and I have just caught and released the little guy! It works and it is awesome! Never buying another horrible kill trap again. A+++++
