It has been many a decade since I last tasted 'Smarties' but I cannot ever remembering those having a taste of chocolate in them and these do. Also 'Smarties' tasted too much of sugar, whereas the sweeteners in these are nice but not overly sweet. I bought them on a whim because I tend to consume too much low sugar or sugar free chocolate and thought that a few of these little buttons might be an alternative. They're nice and were worth trying out. My only reservation would be that if kids got their hands on them and shovelled the entire contents of a tube into their mouths - as kids do - a laxative affect may be the thing that follows. But they are a treat in thoughtful quantities.Eamonn

Great I will buy again. They taste just like smarties, to easy to eat.

Liked tehfact that there is no sugar which means diabetics can have some sweets. However the price seems unneccessarily high.
