I give these to my nieces and nephews of special friends of my kids for graduation, some kids get it, a more mature minded kid, and some don't, in any case, they will look back one day and have a clear understanding and appreciation for the idea. It is really a book for any age honestly, it's more about the reason you are giving it, whether it be graduation, a milestone birthday, some special reason.
