Harcostar Universal Rain Trap Diverter (Green)

Have used these for 15+ years and have more than a dozen of them in use. Easy to fit and come with clear installation instructions. The plastic lid may need the hole enlarging to fit the drainpipe. Although various standard drainpipe sizes are pre-scored, the plastic isn't particularly easy to cut/break. You may also need to add an additional drainpipe bracket for support, as the drainpipe has to be cut to install the diverter. Because the diverter interrupts the flow of the drainpipe, the drainpipe can become blocked by leaves etc. as can the diverter itself and the pipe from the diverter to the water butt. Provided you remember to check everything is clear from time to time (particularly during leaf fall), the diverter should provide years of service.

It has caught and collected so much rain water. Therefore helping to water plants.

I was replacing an old diverter of this type which had been there for years. Unfortunately, the tube and the tub connector leaked. I have had to use a sealant to stop it.

Replacement water butt downpipe fitment, good value, great product.

Quality water butts nicely finished well designed good safety locking tops. Recommended.
