How have I been eating watermelon all my life without one of these! This watermelon slicer is amazing! It is made by ScharfPro and is well built to last. It slices through my watermelon like it's butter. The ease of use of the watermelon slicer is great. My eight year old daughter used it with my supervision to cut our watermelon last weekend. She had so much fun and I did not have to worry about her getting hurt. I love the fact that the excess the juice stays in the rind and does not create a huge mess while taking the watermelon out, to put on my serving plate. It cuts the watermelon in perfect pieces. I will definitely be using this all summer long! I am telling everyone about this and may even be buying my friends one for gifts!

I would leave a zero rating if I could. Makes a mess of the watermelon and hard to use. Waste of money. The bar in between should be a blade...it's hard to get through the watermelon. My family did get a good laugh out of it though. Definitely does not work as described. Thumbs down.

Lasted a little over a year with regular use and placed in dishwasher.There is a small weld that secures the pin to the long metal blade. One side failed.Something to think about. If both sides failed and someone swallowed the pin that would be rough.Will not purchase again.

Item glides right thru, making nice mini slices and cuts at your discretion! Just 1 flaw though; Wish I could pick up the pieces flawlessly with it to complete the procedure! Still nice though!

I really liked this product until it broke while slicing a watermelon tonight. The thin metal bar between the prongs broke off and this was only watermelon number six I had used it on. I guess I expected it to last more than 4 months and be better quality for a $15 gadget. I will look for a more durable product.

At first I used this on a small round watermelon and apparently didn’t have the technique down, so I got so-so results. Since then I’ve used it on medium and large oval watermelons and — WOW! How did I not know these things existed? I got every piece of watermelon, down to the rind, with little effort and nice clean cuts. After 3 larger melons I gained enough confidence to try the small round one again — Fantastic results!The slicer not only works well, but it’s well made and durable. It feels like something a professional would have in their kitchen. The handles are comfortable and won’t dig into your hand. I’m so satisfied!

I wish I had purchased this sooner. I am inept at cutting any type of fruit other than an apple. So if they make a tool to get the job done I need it. The handle is firm but comfortable to grip and hold. It easily slices into watermelon and down to the rind. The cuts are even and it doesn't look like a five year old cut my melon anymore. I haven't had a chance to use it with a honeydew or cantaloupe yet however think it will work well. I have ran it through my dishwasher with no issue.

No way to grab and remove sliced pieces... had another product b4 and worked perfectly. This is just good for cutting. Only the way you remove slices is flip watermelon up side down which makes so much mess...I DO NOT recommend this product !
