Day Pack and Board Meeting Ready!
Ok ok here is my unbiased review of the Clean Hydration Canteen 17oz. First and foremost, I am going to say that I don’t have a favorite. As you can see by the picture I have quite a few different styles of insulated bottles from Pelican, Yeti and Swell. They all have their purpose in life and that’s not even counting the random drawer full of my gym ready blender bottles. Ok ok back to this Clean Hydration 17oz, occasionally when I need to lug a laptop, lunch, headphones and other random things in my backpack or man purse, I’m left with only the small side pockets that are naturally intended to place a water bottle. Most common bottles do not fit properly in these side pockets as they are too wide or tall. The clean canteen 17 fits perfectly! Thats one of the reasons this bottle caught my attention. Additionally, it’s just a classy bottle it’s stylish and I can tell other people want it when I place it in front of me wherever I go. Functionality speaking, it works for putting in your morning coffee, tea, matcha, chai or whatever gets you going and then later in the day given the fact that it has a bottom and top opening, cleaning becomes a breeze while on the go. Long story short this bottle looks great compared to similarly sized and priced bottles. It’s perfectly at home on a board meeting desk while wearing a suit and closing the deal. Others are going to wonder where you got it because they want one! One thing to mention because yeah all that glitters is not gold and it’s just my own personal preference, I personally did not care for the diffuser and tossed it “it’s easily removable” However, it’s a nice addition and might lend to those who need something exotic in their water such as “goji berries” etc… if you are like me, constantly on the go, likes to look good because it makes you feel good and or consider yourself a low key connoisseur/collector of hydration vessels it’s a no brainer get it!

Poor fix for a small problem.
while the bottle does fit into smaller pockets and holders, the bottom is hard to remove, and prone to cross threading when reinstalling. Bottle does not keep drinks cold or hot. Small neck makes filling a hassle.

Pretty ok
Looks nice. Feels solid. But I’m pretty positive this doesn’t hold 17oz. My measurements say 14 oz. hence then minus star.

Cold Beverage Luke Warm After 1 Hour
Does not keep the beverage inside cold. After only 1 hour ice Uber we’re gone.it’s pretty but that’s about it. If you want a water bottle that holds the temperature of your beverage don’t buy this.

This is awesome!
I love this water bottle. I wanted one that was easy to clean, and the removable bottom is the solution. I'm currently sipping a refreshing cucumber mint water using the little basket insert thingy that goes in the bottom to infuse the water with whatever strikes your fancy. I read some of the reviews about leaking, and yes if you don't screw the bottom on carefully it will drip a little bit. But don't panic, all you need to do is screw the bottom on a little tighter. I have a history of ruining water bottles because I forget to clean them out, and I will say if you're somewhat lazy like I am, this might be a problem because it needs to be cleaned out every night and air dried in order to keep the funk out, but that's true of just about any water bottle you use. In conclusion, if you are disciplined enough to remember to clean it out every night, don't ever leave any of your fruit in the infuser thing overnight, the water bottle is worth the effort.

Does not hold cold
Disapointed - the bottle does not hold cold even for an hours.

CLEAN indeed
I searched for this exact product that can be cleaned in the dishwasher - from top to bottom. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Looks great, leaks from the bottom seal.
I loved the design of this device, but having a bottle that can't hold liquids is pointless. Tried cleaning it multiple times, reseating it, and even lubricating it with spit to get a better seal. It would always eventually fill the threads at the bottom and leak when tilted to drink out of. I got a S'well instead, which is actually thinner and lighter. I would prefer it look like the Canteen 17, but holding liquids was a somewhat essential function...

It's leaking

Previously rated one star due to the fact that one of 2 bottles ordered arrived without lid. Seller has since refunded that bottle after I packed it back up and drove it over to the UPS depot. I do like the bottle and the seals aren't leaking but I don't think I'll reorder the second one.

This bottle is a solid 3.5 stars. On the plus side, it is nicely finished. All the parts for securely. I experienced no leakage even putting the bottle sideways, upside down, shaking it, etc. the detachable bottom is a cool idea and will facilitate cleaning. The detachable defuser is also an innovative idea, although personally I wouldn’t use it . Now for the issues. First, the detachable bottom is a possible and lowly point of failure as the bottle ages. With the location of the gasket, I see it leaking eventually. Next, the performance (with cold drinks) is just so so. I filled it with 65F tsp water and added 5 ice cubes. 2.5 hours later the cubes were fully melted and the water temperature was 40F. After 5 hours it was up to 50F. That isn’t close to the bottles I have from the bigger names in the market. That might be OK though- if the price was significantly lower. But so I quick compare and you will see that you can get a bottle from a big name brand for about the same price and it will perform much better. So, 3.5 stars because it’s made well and I give it credit for some innovative features, but it falls short if being a great bottle.

At first glance, the removable bottom on the Clean Canteen 17 insulated water bottle seemed like a gimmick. While it allows for easier cleaning, there could be potential compromises to the bottle leaking or reducing the insulation ability. Once I started using it, having this removable bottle makes a lot of sense. First, the larger opening on the bottle does make it easier to clean and you can get a more thorough clean with bottle brush. It allows you to put larger ice cubes without having to break the ice to drop them from the top. The bottom comes with an infuser which is great for adding fruits and berries to your water, or tea leaves to hot water. Having this infuser on bottom is a far better design than those bottles that have the infuser on top because it's in contact with the water until the last drop. The removable bottom also allows the bottle to dry faster after washing. The Canteen 17 is well made with durable powder coated finish. The top lid is metal with an inner silicone ring. While I didn't experience any leaking with on the top or bottom, I did not like the metal lid. I found it grinded when tightening on the top and even caused some of the powder coating near to top to come off. There was also a bit of a metallic taste from the spout. While the metal lid matched the bottle better, having a plastic lid would have avoided the issues I mentioned. In terms of insulation, the Canteen 17 keep my water cold for hours and my tea warm. However, I don't think the insulation performance is as good as my LARQ water bottle, also an insulated 17oz bottle. That Canteen 17 was also heavier and larger than my LARQ so I was expecting the insulation performance to be better.

Both the seals (top & bottom) appear to be of good material. Only time will tell. As of now - no leaks. Cold contents don't stay cold for too long, and hot beverages don't stay hot for long. However, that should not be a deal breaker. The flask looks nice, good build quality, and is usable - as a beverage holder. A bit less than the described 17 oz. Removable bottom for cleaning is a novel idea! This ensures the cleaning is thorough. My main concern is with the bottom stainless steel fruit or tea infuser. In that it is made of significantly thin metal sheet and it tends to buckle every time it's unscrewed and tightened for cleaning - despite being very gentle. From my perspective this part is not durable. However, the flask is still usable without the infuser - therefore not much of a big deal. I'll need to reduce 2 stars overall.
