Eat With Us: Mindful Recipes to Make Every Meal an Experience Review: Home decor book - Eat With Us is a beautifully curated book that blends home décor inspiration with the joy of gathering around the table. The photography is stunning—warm, inviting, and full of creative ideas that make entertaining feel both stylish and approachable. What I love most is how the book balances design and functionality. It doesn’t just showcase picture-perfect spaces; it also gives practical tips on setting a welcoming table, mixing textures, and creating an atmosphere that makes guests feel at home. The tone is encouraging, making it easy to adapt the ideas to everyday life, not just special occasions. This is more than a coffee table book—it’s something you’ll actually use for inspiration when hosting family dinners or casual get-togethers. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves entertaining, decorating, or simply creating meaningful moments at home. Review: Tried a few recipes... they've been great. - I hadn't heard of Chef Sous Chef prior to buying this book, so I was a little hesitant to purchase. But, those reservations quickly dissolved... If you're a sucker for cookbooks with great photography, you'll love this one. But, what you'll love even more are the stellar recipes! I'm obsessed with their stove top granola and caesar chicken sandwich recipes. I highly recommend this book to any foodie.

I tried but I just couldn't like this book.
For me a recipe book needs to have delicious recipes, be well-written, and be beautiful in its book design, food styling, and food photography. Although the dishes in this book were beautiful and the recipes looked easy enough to make, I didn't even get to a single one because I just couldn't take the authors seriously. The title "Eat With Us" a bit misleading. I thought the book would be focused on gatherings and creating special, mindful moments. But mindfulness is a bit of an afterthought. The book is more about a young couple who seriously overestimates how much the reader cares about their personal lives and is probably better geared toward the followers of the blog Chef Sous Chef. Thumbing through the book was a dreadful experience. Based on the photos, this book should've been titled "Watch Us Seduce Each Other With Food" or "Woman Gets In The Way of Man Cooking". Honestly, I felt like I was just looking through someone's cheesy cringe-inducing engagement photos mixed in with recipes- a dozen too many. Eat With Them? Sure, if I want to be made uncomfortable.
