Treble Clef for the Viola

This is making learning treble clef a lot easier than I thought it would be. I had been putting it off for a LONG time but I bought this book when I got to the point where I realized that I wouldn't be able to play the pieces I wanted without learning to read treble clef. I play from this book for 5-10 minutes at the end of every practice session and it is making things easy and almost fun!

This book is GREAT! Each etude or song has clever switches from alto to treble clef. Sometimes the switches can be clever and are not intuitive.....so you really know when a student is reading or just guessing. On the left page, a new note is introduced in treble clef using etudes, scales, technical works. The facing page has melodies to use the new skill. By the end of the book, students are fluent in treble clef!

This is a terrific book to painlessly and inventively integrate treble clef for intermediate level violists who are shifting, and also great for working on changing clef reading for violinists as well. Versatile and user-friendly, and makes learning alternate clef much more fun!
