This is an excellent piece of kit for the price. Very sturdy tripod and everything mounts up snug and tight. Hadn't realized there were two options for holding a phone in the design, the second one clipping lower on the pole allowing you to raise the ring light up enough that you don't get the light donut reflected in your eyes as obviously. Really slick design and quite versatile. Remote is a little on the cheap side, but functions just fine. Another nice bonus was the Bluetooth remote shutter release that was super easy to sync with my Android phone. Had the whole thing set up and tested in about 5 minutes without any issues.

Unfortunately this is not a durable light. I used this one with great care because I bought a cheaper one earlier in 2021 that broke due to lack of care, so I made sure to handle this one very carefully. Unfortunately it will no longer turn on even though there is no damage to the wires. It worked great when it worked, but as of Feb 2022, it stopped working. Would be happier if there was a year warranty on these!

I love this ring light for the different colors and the brightness settings. I don't like the fact that my husband got one too and the remotes work for both ring lights at the same time. So if I turn on my ring light or change the settings so will his. I also have a hard time with the adjustment knob around the top that holds the ring light in place. The ring light is held in place by a ball that the knob is tightened around. If it's not tight enough the ring light itself will move on its own.

I intended buying this to use it for photography and for lighting purposes and using different colors to light up the subject and it works perfectly and it’s cooler than I thought it would be I’m not disappointed at all. This ring light allows you to use a variety of colors and different shades of white which I thought was cool. If you do plan on transporting it to multiple places I would purchase a portable battery usb charger because otherwise you would need to plug it into the wall.
