My favourite gentle cleanser
I swear by this cleanser. I have used it daily for a year or two and it has never irritated my skin. It removes makeup really well and breaks everything down without rubbing. The scent is pleasant and natural which makes it nice to use at the end of the day. The texture is lovely and leaves my skin feeling soft, clean and a little dewy rather than tight. It is a really reliable cleanser and has become a proper everyday staple for me.

Gentle, effective, and great for sensitive skin
This cleansing balm is one of my favourites. It melts makeup easily, even mascara, without irritating my skin or eyes. The texture feels rich and soothing, and it leaves my face soft and calm rather than tight or greasy. A little goes a long way, and it’s perfect for sensitive or reactive skin. Excellent value for the quality.

Great budget skincare
I really like this. I know there are mixed reviews on it so I’m going to state the reasons I like it but also the things I don’t think it’s best used for. Now, the reason I like this is for the reason I’ve seen some people complain about and that’s the sort of film it leaves on the skin after cleansing, I personally love this effect. I’m sick of cleansing products that completely strip the skin of any moisture. The film that this leaves on the skin isn’t too much, it’s more just a feeling of soft, hydrated skin. I’m not sure on the ingredient that causes this, I’m interested though so I’m going to research it. I also love the price point, it’s really good value for what it is. I’ve seen this touted as an alternative to the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm and having used both products, in my opinion this is not the case. This is just not on that level by any means however it does have its own unique benefits. The Elemis balm is much more rich, it’s more of a treatment for the skin as well as a cleanser, it’s also miles better at removing makeup and you don’t have to put any effort in or pull the skin etc, it just glides off. It’s also much more fragrant than this. This balm is not the best at removing makeup in my opinion, it just doesn’t feel like it penetrates deeply enough into the skin, it will do the job it just wouldn’t be my first choice. I use this balm either as the second cleanser in a double cleanse or on its own if I’m not wearing makeup and haven't been exposed to pollution/irritants that day etc. The reason for this is I love the way my skin feels after, doing a double cleanse often leaves the skin feeling stripped and I find this product helps to negate that. I recommend a generous enough amount say around the size of 2/3 peas onto damp skin and massage gently but firmly for around 30 seconds paying attention to the nose, forehead and chin area. Then rinse until the product is gone but you can still feel that kind of silky feeling on the skin. I’ve personally had no irritation from this and I have semi sensitive fairly acne prone skin. Now onto the smell, it’s not the best tbh, it’s sort of synthetic smelling but very mild, it’s not bad, I actually quite like it but you’re not going to smell it and be like ‘wow’. The consistency is also a bit thin, however a bigger bottle I purchased elsewhere wasn’t as thin as this one which is a bit strange, maybe just a difference in the batch. Overall though, this is a perfect budget skincare staple. Anything for the skin which is decent and is affordable for all gets the thumbs up from me. I personally wouldn’t recommend this as your go to for removing makeup or for a deep cleanse but for a nice simple cleanser that leaves your skin feeling lovely it’s perfect. Hope this helped 💖

Strongly recommend
I saw a influencer praising this balm so I gave it a try. It does the job exceptionally well. Very similar to the expensive double oil cleansera but this one is for the fraction of the price. It takes off make up and all other bits very well, and leaves soaking smooth and hydrated. Definitely will be buying it again.

Like Vaseline which won’t wash off?
I really wanted to like this and thought at first it was going to be really moisturising. I chose it for its mascara removing properties. It’s a strange Vaseline texture, and when you wash your face it doesn’t really lather which is fine and shows it’s more natural I think? But the greasy Vaseline texture it leaves doesnt wash off with water, and leaves a residue . So I have to wipe it off with toilet paper. It leaves my eyes greasy and misty! When having to remove eye make up, since the balm doesn’t wash off with water, it smears the mascara abit and to fully remove it without marking my towels I have to wipe with tissue. I also think it’s making my skin feel a little tight and dry? And dry skin on my nose. I don’t want to blame the balm for this as it’s my skin issues which I’m looking for a face wash to prevent. So it doesn’t really accomplish what I had hoped apart from wash off stubborn eye make up better than my other cleanser, but I still have to wipe it away with tissues.

Better when dispensed into a pot as very thick and difficult to squeeze out of the tube
Works well. Very thick and needed to warm up to get out of the tube. I have dispensed some into a pot for ease of use.

Microbead Hell
I have bought this 4 times and I think it's excellent for the price point and it suits my dry skin so I overlook how difficult it is to squeeze out of the tube but this last purchase has really put me off completely because this latest purchase has got microbeads in it Which is beyond annoying I'm slightly confused though because my previous 3 purchases didn't have them but this latest one did but from what I can see from reviews is they've had them in it for over 4 years but this is the first time I've had them in the cleansing balm ,I really thought companies where trying to do away with micro beads are they are so environmentally damaging ,so it's a NO from me
