I ordered this because of the 11 foot reach. I also needed the larger hook for scaffolding. These arrived and I noticed that the hook was smaller than my previous lanyards. It made me nervous (I dislike returning things). Well, the hook fits on the scaffolding with some play but not much. I haven’t had any issues yet but beware, the hook has just enough clearance while sliding on the scaffolding ledgers. I’m not sure what would happen if there is dried concrete or some other dried substance on the ledger. It may cause a lockup. I’m using mine because it works for what I need.

Yes this SRL is great. It doesn’t lock / restrain you from movement unless its mechanics kick in to restrain you from an actually fall event. So I can work freely on the lift, bucket truck, etc. without worrying about not being able to move. It’s not super heavy - if your (especially if you use to carry a lot of gear normally when on job sites). And unlike the rebar hook so I can snap on to anything. I use this with my 3m harness with the D-Ring on the upper back. It’s worth the money - everything costs money at this point. So just do the right thing for yourself and safety.

The thing broke on first use .I have lost confidence in this product and no longer want a replacmement.

Works great without having to actually have it save me yet. I don't plan on falling in any holes real soon,but it appears to be well made. I hope I don't have to find out how well it works in the real world, but it seems like it will work great. It is a little heavy to carry around and wear on your back if you're not working real far from the main coil.I wish I cold have gotten a longer one, but for the price this 11-footer seems to be a good buy. The retractable cable moves smoothly and grabs hard when yanked. It did come with a carabiner to attach to a dead man but I bought one anyway. I wish I wouldn't have done that, but 10 bucks isn't so bad.
