I use this as a clarifying shampoo, better then some name brand ones.
using a double cleanse, this works really well as a clarifying shampoo. Truly gets your hair to a "squeaky" clean feel (doesn't really squeak just feels really clean :) )it's scent is "clean" and its mild. The best way to describe it, think of what "a neutral clean" smells like to you and that is this in a nutshell.Lathers so well, even in hard water, the first wash with this shampoo, still gets a good lather that coats your hair, picks up all that oil and dirt and whisks it away down the drain. However, after rinsing that fist one, take a small amount (quite smaller then what you would normally do for your hair length) and do another lather, this second one will lather even nicer and bigger, and really get your hair clean of products.I don't even bother with the big expensive clarifying shampoos anymore, Since this one works so well in that way.did you over tone your hair, a simple wash with this will help tone the over toning down a bit (won't strip it out but will definitely help to ease the color).won't say it leaves hair moisturized, but it sure as heck doesn't leave hair feeling drier then the Sahara desert.

Gently Purifying Shampoo That Refreshes Without the Buildup
I’ve been using Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Purifying Shampoo (12.5 oz) for several weeks, and it’s become a staple in my haircare routine. The silicone-free formula gives a satisfying lather that cleans my scalp and hair thoroughly—especially after workouts or days with product buildup—without stripping moisture or leaving hair feeling dry or rough. The liquid is thin.Since switching, my scalp feels noticeably less oily, and my hair looks fresher and more voluminous day-to-day. It rinses clean, and even though it doesn’t include silicones, my hair still feels smooth and manageable after conditioning. At its price point, it’s a refreshing and effective option—ideal for anyone who wants a cleaner, more balanced wash without harsh ingredients.

Good, but not amazing
This is a very affordable shampoo. I think that is the biggest motivator here for the average person to buy this. This contains polypeptide, which is amazing for the hair. It contains a high concentration of citric acid, and while these things are not advertised on the packaging, they are really good for the hair. This is what I would consider to be a solid choice for a gentle clarifying shampoo. If you have to wash every single day, but for a clarifying wash once a week or every other week, I would say you need something stronger. This only contains one type of sulfate. The other clarifying or cleansing ingredient in this shampoo is very gentle and sulfate free so it’s not going to cleanse as effectively for extremely oily or dirty scalps I found that my hair was getting oily a bit faster than normal and usually I can go longer between washes but on the plus side I did find that my hair was very soft after shampooing with this product, which is rare because usually shampoos make my hair feel rough. It was nice trying it, but I personally would not re-purchase it again because I genuinely did not feel like it gave me that strong cleanse that I wanted so therefore I would say while I recommend it for the average person washing every single day with fine hair, I wouldn’t recommend it for coarse Hair that is usually washed less frequently

Great for Oily Roots, but Dry Ends Need Extra Care
I’ve been using Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo for a few weeks now, and it’s been a solid choice for my hair. The shampoo has a pleasant, refreshing scent and lathers well. It effectively removes buildup, leaving my scalp feeling clean and light. The formula is free from silicones, parabens, and phthalates, which is a big plus for me.However, I’ve noticed that while it works wonders on my oily roots, it leaves my dry ends feeling a bit parched. To combat this, I use a nourishing conditioner on the ends, which helps restore moisture and softness.

Gets the job done
I've never had a problem with any of the Garnier line of shampoos/conditioners. Is this the best? Of course not, but it gets the job done and doesn't leave my hair greasy. I usually only use salon products but I needed this in a pinch since I ran out of my usual shampoo the day before I left for a vacation, and my hair hasn't reacted negatively so far.

Not color safe at all
NOT COLOR SAFE. At all. It does a good job clarifying but I caution those who want to preserve color/highlights.

Love
This shampoo and conditioner is one of the few products that works great for my hair. I have fairly dense, low porosity hair, and struggle to maintain frizziness. This product works better than anything else I have tried, including expensive, high end shampoos. I also struggle with dandruff and my scalp typically gets greasy after just one day, this product keep both of those factors in check.

Great value, great scent
My son needed a new clarifying shampoo. We were initially buying one from a hair salon but he was going through it so quickly that we wanted to find something cheaper that worked just as well. It is highly effective in removing buildup on the hair and smells great. He has had no issues with it drying out his hair.
