I bought this microwave for my 4yr old nephew's birthday who specifically requested a pretend microwave. Fyi...This isn't too pinky. It comes across like an orangey pink or a dusty red. My nephew didn't even mention or care about the color. It's not a bright or dark pink that screams "girly" like some I've seen, which was great. I actually looked at multiple different pretend microwaves before deciding on this one, and I can't find any reason to regret this choice. I did open everything to make sure it had all of the pieces and that nothing was broken. Everything was there. The yellow putty was dried out because the lid had come off. I didn't have time to return or replace it just because of that, tho. I knew before ordering that this wasn't going to be as big and sturdy as the one's from when I was a kid. And not just this one. They just don't make toys the same these days. This is still nice and one of the better values that I could find, and I would recommend it. The door opens and shuts easy, and seems to be made decent. He was able to work everything just fine. The food fits on the little spinner and the spinner does work with batteries installed. It also has a light that comes on while it's cooking, and makes ding sounds which is really cool. I like that it came with a few pieces of food because it made it possible to open right up and go straight to playing, which they did. The white plate does not fit in the microwave with the door closed, tho. That's one thing I would change, but it can still be used as a serving plate for when it's all done cooking. I really wish someone would come up with actual numbers to push instead of just pictures, because it's hard explaining why they can't find every food item listed and how they just have to pretend that those buttons are for other foods as well. So numbers would be a great addition and even help with basic counting skills. Still, this is a cute little microwave, and he was so excited to when he opened it. It does require batteries. So far it's still working. It's been 2mnths. I used a water bottle in the photos for size comparison. This does come giftable and in a nice, good quality matte box. I hope my pictures help give you an idea of what to expect in person, and for gifting.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my three year old nephew and he loves it! Its a perfect addition to his kitchen collection toy and is super durable with all that rough play and even dropping it. You do need batteries like with most toys but its very educational and teaches kids on microwave and can do pretend play with it. Great value, and I definitely recommend!

Bought this for a gift for a friend turning 4. She loved it all. Loved that she could open the microwave and play with it. The dough was soft. I’d recommend to anyone with kids.

This is a nice microwave toy for kids that love pretend food! But after a week or two of my son using it the microwave plate on the inside wouldn’t turn anymore and my son was sad about it not working properly.
