FLEXX LX300 2TB NVME SSD Kit for Macs from late 2013 to 2019

This upgraded SSD is definitely the one to buy.Bought this for my little used 128Gb Macbook Air 2017 model (A1466). Bought the 1Tb upgrade and fitted it in less than 20 mins using the tools supplied with the SSD. It booted up straight away (be patient though) and installed the OS. I downloaded BlackMagic Speed Test from the app store and was amazed that the Write Speed had doubled. Prior to the upgrade the Write Speed was 696MB/s and the Read Speed was 1390. After installation the Write Speed jumped to a fast 1393MB/s and the Read Speed remained roughly the same at 1370MB/s. The doubling of the Write speed has made the Macbook snappy and very usable. Affer installation I then upgraded to Monterey and noted the same speeds. Very happy with the purchase and convinced it was the right choice. If you want big and fast storage on your 2017 Air - this is definitely the way to go!

I bought this 1TB SSD having researched battery replacement on youtube for my old 2015 MacBook Pro (A1502). I had no idea you could upgrade the (256GB) SSD but it is so simple (the battery replacement is a little more complicated but still very do-able). Literally 15 minutes work, although there are then several hours of updates to carry out so make sure you allow time for that. This new SSD comes with a Mac OS already pre-installed although you will almost certainly then have to update it.The process is as follows... do a Time Machine back-up of your Mac.Remove the back cover of the Mac using the P5 screwdriver provided, identify the SSD, remove one screw using the T5 screwdriver provided which hold the SSD in place, pull the old SSD clear of its socket, replace it with the new one making sure to earth yourself to the MacBook case to avoid damage by static electricity, replace the one screw holding it in place, refit the cover (screws), switch on, do a Time Machine restore (this may take several hours depending on the speed of your TM drive). Then do all the updates necessary to get you to the last update that works with these 8 year old machines (Monterey 12.7.1 in my case) and hey presto, you have a great machine with lots of drive space. Brilliant. Check out the youtube videos generously provided by many contributors to give you an idea of how easy this really is.

Needed to install Windows on my Mac to run an app that isn't available of MacOS. Instead of picking up a cheap PC laptop I dusted off my 2015 MacBook Air and upgraded the SSD, doubling capacity and increasing performance. Installed Windows via bootcamp and now have a backup Mac and a Windows laptop in one, both with plenty of storage! Simple to install and swiftly up and running. Highly recommend.

Works perfectly, easy to install and given new life to my MacBook Pro

I had a MacBook Air that had experienced a number of MacOS upgrades and had become slower on each occasion. I decided to install a larger and much faster PCIe NVME SSD and went with the 1TB version.Installation was a breeze for me and within 40 minutes I had a much faster MacOS Monterey MacBook Air with headroom to dual boot it with Windows or Linux.

Just to say that I never done any computer work but I can tell this hard drive upgrade was so easy. It’s fitted nicely and with preloaded macOS my computer recognised the new hard driver. Highly recommended

Works well, fit in MacBook Air 2015, but not very fast.It is better to buy an adaptator and get a better SSD.Now it is intalled so not gonna change, but it is a very slow SSD.tb

They just work, unlike other brands that seem to have issues with OS compatibility. I've been doing this for a living for around 30 years and you get to know which parts are reliable with no after sales support needed. The Flexx brand of SSD's for Macs is one of them.

Ich habe mir diese SSD bestellt, da meine 128 GB im MB Air aus 2015 doch was wenig wurden und eigentlich schon damals waren. Der Einbau verlief absolut problemlos, auch die Neuinstallation des Betriebssystems war kinderleicht. Somit habe ich jetzt wieder ein Gerät, dass nicht mein Hauptlaptop ist, aber für unterwegs oder im Krankenhaus noch absolut ausreicht. Ein paar Videos mitgenommen und man ist gewappnet. Die Geschwindigkeit ist für mich, gerade in einem 8 Jahre alten Computer absolut ausreichend.Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen, wenn man sein altes Gerät weiterhin nutzen möchte.

Bonjour,Je n’avais pas regarder jusqu’à maintenant juste mis et utilisé, mais en le changeant j’ai découvert que c’est un m.2 avec adaptateur mac. Bien fait car plus court que les adaptateurs std.

Gute Qualität und Easy, zum installieren. Hat sich danach selbst initialisiert.
