Melitta Filter Coffee Machine with Insulated Jug, Easy Therm II Model, 1023-06, Black, 6762891

I got the coffee machine as requested by our onboard crews. It was very useful and helpful during onshore operations as the jug keeps the coffee hot for a long time. Got the machine for 2nd time. Hope they will have stock again.

The first thing you need to know about this coffee maker is that there is no heating element for the coffee jug. It's basically a thermos jug, the hot coffee goes in there, the coffeemaker switches off automatically after 20 minutes, and that's it. As it turns out, this suits me perfectly, though I don't know if I would have purchased it knowing this beforehand. The actual coffeemaking works surprisingly well, though I'm not sure why that is. I used my old Braun maker only when I was making more than the usual cup and a half I drink in the morning, but I use this Melitta all the time now. I think its improvement is down to better control over the temperature of the water, and also the use of a paper filter, which gives the coffee more "brew-time". It is very sensitive to the fineness of the grind, however, and I use an extra-find grind. Anyway, for a cheaper coffeemaker, albeit with a fairly small capacity, this is great.

Easy to use good to look at and not too large. This machine fits into my kitchen perfectly and makes a great jug of coffee.

Ich suchte auf die Schnelle eine K-Maschine für Weihnachten. Da ich sonst keine Maschine benutze, sollte es auch nicht teuer sein. Ich bestellte „Retourenware“ zum günstigen Preis. Die Maschine ist super > hab sie 2x mit Wasser durchlaufen lassen, nichts tropft, Wasser lässt sich super easy einfüllen (ist ja nicht bei allen Maschinen so einfach), Lautstärke empfinde ich als normal, läuft schnell durch, Wasser/Kaffee gut heiss u. mit der Warmhalteplatte auch perfekt. Sie ist einfach, bissel Retro, aber macht das, was sie soll > Kaffee kochen.
