Compre una unidad para probarla, EL subwoofer suena bien, mejor de lo que yo esperaba por el precio, sin embargo al querer comprar otra unidad el producto ya costaba al rededor de un 60% mas, lo que ya no es buena relación precio /calidad. Ahora tendré que venderlo y comparar un par de otra marca .

Best subs I’ve owned, used to have a sundown x-15 and 4 of these skar subs are just as loud on 1500 Watts and give sundown a run for there money for loads cheaper.

First off, I am giving my second speaker (the product itself) 5 stars but the whole experience is really 1 star. Secondly, great sounding speaker but there are some quality control issues with Skar Audio and maybe Amazon as well. I originally ordered an 8" DVC 4ohm (Skar Audio IX-8 D4) for my wife's car for her B-day. Early December 2017: I installed the speaker and it sounded great for about a week. Then the voice coil started rattling and the speaker was causing the amp to cutout. I took the speaker out of the box and could visibly see that the voice coil was unwinding and it was charred black. The speaker even smelled burnt. I sent the bad one back to Amazon and they sent out a replacement at no charge. I did receive the replacement within days. Nearly a month later it still sounds great! Now I have been installing car audio for almost 30 years ... so I know what I am doing. I had a 300 watt mono-block amp pushing this speaker at 2 ohms. This should be a perfect match and it is. I am super happy with the sound and so is my wife. Late December 2017: I liked the way this speaker sounded in my wife's car so much that I decided to order the same speaker for my car and replace the 8" 4 ohm DVC sub (from a different manufacturer) that I had installed in my car. The new Skar Audio IX-8 D4 arrived on 1/4/2018. I promptly went to work swapping out the old speaker with my new Skar Audio speaker. All was well until I opened the box for the "NEW" Skar Audio speaker. As soon as I opened the box, there was a burnt electronic smell present. Upon closer inspection I realized that this speaker was indeed the EXACT speaker that I had returned nearly a month ago. Seriously....I am not joking. I realized that the "Skar" branded box was taped the way that I had taped up my returned blown speaker. It really was the EXACT same speaker that I had sent back in weeks ago. Needless to say, this item has been returned back to Amazon and I have rolled the dice again and ordered another one before this one makes its back into stock to be shipped out to someone else again. Read all the reviews here on Amazon and you will see the following similar experiences other Amazon shoppers have had with ordering Skar Audio products: * There is another reviewer that claims to have received two "Planet Audio" subs instead of Skar Audio subs but the Planet Audio subs came in a Skar Audio boxes. * Another reviewer said that he/she received one that was blown ... bad voice coils. * AND there is another reviewer that ordered two of these subs. One was great and sounded great and one was a dud ... plus that dud looked like it had been used. SO....................... Either Amazon or Skar Audio is not separating the bad ones that come back or even checking inside the boxes to see what speakers are in the box that was returned. This type of business practice should NEVER EVER happen. Shame on whoever the guilty party is. I really hope that my replacement speaker is indeed a NEW Skar Audio speaker because that is really all I wanted from this purchase!!! Someone needs to get their act together!!!! Not many people will have the patience that I have had with this whole experience. If I have another bad experience with the one I currently have on order, you know that I will update this review. By the way, this is my second review. My first review was rejected so I had to edit it in such a way that Amazon wouldn’t reject it. This is a first for me. Amazon… I am still going to get my point across on this bad experience no matter what. Even if I have to edit this review 10 more times, I WILL get my point across.

Used this subwoofer as a direct replacement for the factory subwoofer in a 21 Lexus IS350.. Difficult project because of the amount of trim you must remove from the vehicle before installation as well as the need to fabricate your own bracket but this worked well for my application. Gets plenty of power from the factory non ML amplifier to sound great with all upgraded speaker components, which for my application I also chose all Skar Audio. Wired this to 2 ohms because my factory sub was 2.5.. works without any issues and sounds great. Not ground shattering bass, but better than OEM.. will most likely add a tiny mono amp to see if I can push this thing further, but for the money you cannot go wrong on this as a factory subwoofer replacement
