Nicely made assembly and ratchet wrench. I bought the 19mm size and it’s a little sloppy in my 19.75 mm bench holes, which causes the board being held to pitch up from the bench slightly. Even with a tight fit, the board would probably still tend to lift anyway. I’ll try milling or filing a slight bevel on the brass block like the Veritas version, which costs twice as much and would probably do the same thing. Leaving the wrench on the screw reduces the lift also. It’s still very usable and is a good value as received.

Solid and well made tool. Fits snugly into my bench and is easily adjustable.

It does what it is supposed to do..

Great addition to a work bench when you don't have a tail vise. If you need to plane something to 1/4" just shim the board upward to clear the clamp. Worth the money and a great value

It is small but very useful and extremely well built. If you have a wood workers bench with 3/4 inch dog holes you need at least one of these. I used it on some odd angle glue ups. If is very powerful.

I had high hopes that this would solve the problem of the ridiculously high priced tail / wagon vises. Not so. I have problems with it lifting the work piece off of the top of the bench. I think that if the piece that goes into the do hole was longer that it may help. And that piece is very tight in 3/4" dog holes. I suppose that is actually a good thing that maybe it's to help it from "tipping" and lifting the work piece. If so, it doesn't seem to help. I suspect though that it's actually metric, I didn't measure to confirm, and not 3/4" that's why it's so tight. I mean the rest of it is metric so ... The small ratchet wrench that comes with it seems to work surprisingly well but it something that you'll have to keep track of which I knew going in.

Having taken up woodworking on my own, I never had an official workspace, and definitely not a workbench, to work with. I didn't realize the value in some good bench clamps and dogs. I found this item and purchased it, and it has made things so much easier and faster.
