Donner Cyclops 5W Mini Electric Guitar Amplifier – Compact & Versatile for Practice;
The Donner Cyclops 5W Mini Electric Guitar Amplifier is a fantastic choice for guitarists looking for a portable, feature-packed practice amp. Despite its small size, it delivers surprisingly versatile tones with 7 preset amp modes, allowing players to explore everything from clean blues to heavy distortion. The gain and volume controls offer decent flexibility, making it great for different playing styles. One standout feature is the built-in drum machine with 40 drum patterns, which adds an interactive and rhythmic element to practice sessions. The three built-in effects (likely delay, chorus, and reverb) further enhance sound customization. Additionally, the Bluetooth audio function makes it easy to play along with backing tracks or stream music. Powering options are convenient—DC 9V, 6x AA batteries, or USB 5V, making it truly portable for home, travel, or outdoor jam sessions. While it’s not built for gigging, the sound quality and features are excellent for personal practice. For the price, this amp is a solid buy for beginners and experienced players alike. 🎸🔊🔥

Amazing little amp
I absolutely love this amp. If this amp is indicative of the quality they put out, then Donner is an underrated brand. I had tried the Orange Crush mini and hated the sound and lack of functions. I returned that and for about $20 more got the Donner. I love the different amp models with the PV51 being my favorite as I'm mostly using the amp with distortion. The amp has volume, tone and gain which allows me to tweak my sounds and dial in a sound that I like. The clean sounds are also good. The drum machine sound could be better but it's just a little something to play along with. I don't really bother with it because I simply pair it with my phone using the Bluetooth option and I play along with my favorite songs or backing tracks. The tuner is also a useful option. The unit seems to be sturdy and well made and I love the look of it. At this time, I can't think of any negatives and at the price point, this is a great deal. For playing in my room, this is perfect. I haven't used it for recording but I believe you could plug into your work station and get a pretty good sound using it as an interface. Great sound quality and very portable. I'm using it plugged in but with the option to use batteries, you can't go wrong. For my purposes, it's an amazing little amp.

Is this the best mini amp on the market ? !
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for this. Surprisingly enough, this thing is very warm and full sounding. I’ve tried a bunch of the other mini amps on the market and this one absolutely blows the rest out of the water in terms of sound quality. It simply just doesn’t sound like a mini amp. It almost sounds like it could be like a 5watt tube amp. The construction seams solid for what it is (hard plastic) The drum machine is really nice to have. You don’t see drum machines on any other amp in this price range that I know of. It includes a good variety of beats and the bpm is fully adjustable on the fly. The drum sounds themself as you’d expect aren’t going to sound exactly like real drums but it’s just meant for practice anyway so who cares. Now the effects are really the icing on the cake here. The chorus sounds unique because it almost sounds like a doubling effect in a way more then a chorus. The tremolo is cool and works nicely. The delay types are very pretty sounding. The reverb could be super ambient or it could be subtle if you want but overall sounds really good. The different amp types don’t take long to dial in a good tone. The distortion amps sound REALLY good as long as you don’t have the gain cranked ALL the way. Finally, the Bluetooth connectivity really just makes this thing unbeatable. You can literally play along with your favorite songs or noodle random things over them and it sits so nicely in the mix. I’d definitely recommend this. I don’t normally write reviews for things but I had to go out of my way to make this one. I’ll eventually make a YouTube video demonstrating this since there aren’t any.

Feature packed unit that mostly sounds good
I'm subtracting one star for the awful reverb. It produces no reverb at all unless nearly dimed and, even on full, product a rough, metallic sounding, almost immediately decaying reverb. (In fact, I'm wondering if the reverb on my unit is simply defective.) However, now that this is out of the way, there's a lot to otherwise like about this amp. In particular, the amp options are fine for a unit at this price. I'd compare them to the amp options on a Roland Cube which is a compliment for unit at this price point. The built in drums are easy to use and versatile. And the delay and mod features are decent/usable. I wish it had an internal rechargeable battery instead of requiring 6 AA batteries but I'm not subtracting for this feature in my review because I knew what I was ordering when I did.

I like it but need some improvements
It’s great to have a guitar amp so small with in built guitar effects and drum beats and metronomes for practice session and one man jamming. It also has the Bluetooth pairing feature for phones. However, it is not rechargeable which we would expect from a portable amp. Volume is not loud enough as I expected. I hear bit of noisiness while using distortion/ metal effects. This could be because of it being too small or may be coz of my guitar which is a Donner Pro X. But, I believe its resulted from the amp itself, and It really need some improvements with the output power.

Swiss army knife of amps
This is a practice app, but it’s got a lot of features that a lot of the other small mini amps don’t have including reverb hall reverb and plate. It’s got a drum machine that you can 40 different styles of drums is got delay, Tremelo tone gain and seven different amp models Bluetooth so you can use your phone to play a backing track through the speaker and play along with it at the same time with your electric guitar

I've been looking for a small cool looking portable amp mainly for quiet noodling or around the campfire for my acoustics, but after playing with this thing this weekend I am impressed. It is a plastic toy amp, but stands alone. It has it all from a built in tuner, usable effects and amp modelling, 40 drum patterns all tap adjustable to blue tooth capability and portable enough to run on 6 AA batteries or adapter provided. It handled my acoustic, electric and even bass well. The sound is decent when connected to blue tooth to play music thru too, another campfire plus. It's not a 4x12...but it is well worth the $ and is a super fun toy for all levels of players.

Literally stopped working in a month. I played a lot on it and was quite satisfied with how well it worked and how portable it was. However as with every cheap purchase where you tell yourself - this time it’ll be fine. It literally stopped playing anything and the circuit just seems to have broken down. There was no physical damage - just one day after a month of purchase out of the blue stopped working at all. Absolutely zero product quality control. Now I’m out of return window and out $100. Edit - So the customer service experience was great! and I got a replacement for the one that broke down in a month. From a customer experience perspective it was great - they were super responsive and understood that the amp was defective. However, most of amps/guitars/pedals etc should be built to last and unfortunately this just isn't it. We guys treat our gear really bad but most of it is build to last. I think in the price range it is a cool buy but you can shell a little more and get great quality products, which I would have done but I am on a budget and already have a bigger amp. This is perfect for bedroom amp needs but there are some others out there that might offer more reliability. Overall experience 3/5 Will revisit in a month and half to see how long this one lasts.

I feel this is a great little amplifier for any musician looking for quality sound at a reasonable price! For practicing I enjoy having the effects and also the drum machine. The bluetooth capability has been useful for practising with backing tracks and also for listening to my audio books! Having the power supply included was also a nice feature.........so I didn't have to spend time and money tracking one down! Not designed to blow your walls down, I find it ideal for a small apartment or townhouse! I am quite satisfied with this purchase, as I want to remain friends with my neighbors!

Well I wasn't sure if I should purchase or not wanted something small with some modelling amp sounds that was portable ( in the house), plug in and play and easy to set up. Plus low volume big sound so not to irritate the wife, this little guy surprised me. Not too loud but loud enough. A good assortment of common amp sounds with tremolo , reverb ( which sounds ok and a drum machine, for what it does is not bad keeps the beat with lots of options. Also has a built in tuner which comes in handy. The convenience of this amp has definitely inspired me to pick up a guitar practise and play. Have not tried the bluetooth feature yet so can’t comment, I do wish they had considered a built in charger so one could use rechargeable batteries, so far just using wall charger. If your looking for a small amp to get you playing more often, for the money I would recommend. Have had a chance to try out bluetooth feature not good could not get phone to connect, tried 3 different phones same problem, confirmed wireless using another bluetooth speaker I had; no problem connecting phones so problem with amp. Unfortunately returning item.
