Well I started off buying a cheap $10 wire harness , then I read the reviews and the cheap wire harness’s said they catch fire, the I pulled the trigger on this hella one and I’m glad I did who needs a fire , this harness is well made with good weather style connectors , it does pay to pay more to get a better product - a good sense of mine, I’ve used hella in the past and have had good luck with them - thanks for listening

I ordered this to pair with a single light bar for my 1998 Toyota T100. The kit works well and was very easy to install. The materials and wiring seem to be generally well made. There is more than enough wiring for the size of my truck, and even if my battery had been on the passenger side, this kit would have worked. My only real gripe is that the switch lights up when on, and is a bit too bright. This is very easily masked by obscuring the switch with sharpie, nail polish, or just the dirt that will inevitably cover it anyway. I'm not sure how this compares to the cheaper Chinese products on the market, but I felt better with wiring from a quality brand with a long history. Update: on the second use of this switch, the light didn’t come on. I discovered a loose connection in the sub-harness to the switch. I cut out the connection and made my own. Pretty disappointing for a Hella product. I dropped my rating to two stars.

This harness came complete and was a breeze to install. The instructions are vague to the layman. If you can plug in a lamp and you can fit Under your dash, this is the harness for you. One side note ( you will need additional wire to extend the white wire ) This white wire is your ground and needs to be connected to the negative side of the battery. ( you will not find that in the instructions )

Even though the harness is recommended by Hella, there are some short comings. Most lights from Hella are 3 wire, primarily due to 2 settings. This switch in this harness is only accommodating of one position. You chose high or low beam. The color coding does not match up. You have to wire the harness according to the diagram. Not just plug and play as suggested.
