STX Lacrosse Valor Goalie Shin Guards, Pair

Shin pads are excellent. Price was a little high but did get delivered to my house when needed.

My daughter is a D2 college goalie and won't take the field without them. This is her second pair. She says they fit her perfectly, are light enough to run in and strong enough to take the hit. She has made many saves with these, either on kick out or direct blocks, they have not shattered, buckled or broken. We ordered the second pair because she lost a strap and they are beginning to look beat up, but that is after two varsity seasons and one collegiate season. She says you will still feel a hard shot, but much of the sting is taken out of it. She is remarkably mobile in these, does not affect her running much. I asked her about the 'pads vs. no pads' controversy - she thinks goalies that don't wear them are insane. She is much more confident and will not hesitate to step in front of a shot with these on. The attached photo shows the product in action. (Yep - that was a save.) The ankle protection is good, but there is nothing for the top of the foot. Quite frankly we have not found anything that works well there. This a good product that is well made and built to take a beating for years.

I am in love with these lightweight yet durable shin guards. I pitch in competitive slow pitch softball and have always worn shin guards. These are extremely easy to put on and take off quickly. They conform to my leg so well, the velcro straps aren't really needed. They wrap around the back and can almost close around my calf for near full protection. Super happy with the design and how comfortable they are

Easy to put on and take off. Good shin protection from hard hit balls. (I play 12" softball).
