Brimming with captivating content
I loved sports at schools. Team sports to be exact. But hated cross country running in the winter. I’m more a player than a watcher of sports. I bought this book because I worked with Jake in his CBBC days. No, I didn’t make him dress up as a lobster. I’m a huge fan. Jake is the ultimate professional. He came to set prepared and ready to have fun. I trust him and love his work ethic. I can only guess the amount of effort he put into this book. This review won’t be bias I haven’t seen Jake in almost 18 years. I’ve retired, so I’m not looking for a job! But I feel motivated to start a new hobby after reading this book.High Performance is brimming with captivating content. It’s logical and concise. Many books in this genre go round the houses and you learn nothing. I was inspired by the stories from sports and business people. I wish I was back leading a team. I might get it right this time.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to reach their full potential. I’d bet money that you’ll feel engaged through out and motivated at the end. I’m off to listen to the podcast for the first time.

How to live life, the book to give everyone
Having found Jake & Damians podcast during lockdown, continually learning much from each episode, it being a jumping off point of thoughts about my own direction and progression & recommending it to many friends, I felt I had to support them and buy the book (also because Jake is a local lad & I won't stop being proud of his achievements).I gifted it to my parents hoping they would appreciate it as it's Jake as well as an interesting subject (& more palatable to them than podcasts) & expecting it would work its way back to my bookshelf once read as all our good reads do.... Well I might have a fight on my hands in this case!In the first short sitting my mum asked how many copies I'd bought, as everyone needs one as their guide on how to live life. There may not be enough copies for how many people it's going to get recommended to once she gets further in & finishes it!
