QUANTUM STEP

Well built
A must have for hanging Christmas light. Like the freedom of the platform to stand on.

Step good but not great
Perhaps I’m not using the step correctly, but I don’t like how it is not attached to the ladder. Once I was on it, it was stable and good, but had to tape it to the ladder so it wouldn’t move. Then it was challenging to climb up over the step as I was going up the ladder when it was in place. It also has 2 places the step can adjust to when the pictures seemed to indicate it could adjust to any position. They should use the back side of the step and put instructions on it there.Would be nice to attach it, climb up over it, then slide it into position with your foot, then stand on it, then slide it back out of the way to go down.Love the 26’ reach Little Giant Epic ladder and the air table, just not impressed with the quantum step

Built like a rock - ignore the 1 star reviewer (must have an ax to grind)
I have 1 already (bought elsewhere) as well as the "vanilla" work platform. I'm looking to get 1 more quantum step to increase versatility and found them on Amazon but was surprised to see a 1 star review. Regarding said review I weigh 230 lbs and the thing is solid as a rock (made in China and all). After reading the 1 star review on Amazon last night I set it up on the bottom rung and carried a 50 lbs weight with me and no flex whatsoever. Perhaps that reviewer had a knockoff (there are sadly many products that are fake these days), a defective unit or an ax to grind (who knows). Either way this is a very simple piece of kit so I doubt it's defective unless it's a knockoff. Any issue would be centered on the rapid locks and they are extremely solid platform. I absolutely love the versatility of being able to adjust the platform for use on the inside and outside of the ladder. It's an extremely solid work environment and I'm a heavy guy.I've been a Little Giant user since the 90s and when I upgraded to a Quantum Ladder (M26) a year ago I was blown away how the quality and features have improved from my nearly 20 year old model. The Quantum Step is no exception.

Risky to stand on
The suggested use shows standing on this is a option for use. The aluminum bent and structurally it was not strong enough to use as a stand.

I made more adjustment holes
Out of the box, there are only two angles of adjustment. I have a metalworking mill, so it was easy for me to (void the warranty I'm sure and) bore four extra adjustment holes in the aluminum, but probably few customers have a mill handy. Other than that, it's a nice reasonably sturdy piece. The adjustment holes are exactly 7/16" diameter and the thickness of the aluminum is 0.15".PS. On mine, the adjustment knobs are plastic, not the die-cast zinc that you see in the picture.

Shamelessy Overpriced for its Purported Value
This Little Giant ladder shelf is sturdy and fits well, but it fails to deliver on its primary marketing point: ADJUSTABILITY. As you can see in the attached photo, there are only TWO locking adjustment points over its 6-inch range of adjustment. Is it really too much to expect an industry leader like Little Giant to drill a few more holes in their expensive add-on product?

They have dropped there quality this is now made in China. I stood on one at a show and it flexed under my feet. That don't seem to be what they once were.
