This is a great bag. It holds a whole lot of stuff. It’s useful to have my hands free for holding or rolling another suitcase while navigating airports. So I usually bring a backpack as a carryon. They often don’t hold much. This bag does. It’s a suitcase in its own right. I like the ability to store the backpack straps internally when not in use. They snap on and off easily at their ends. They adjust length with ease and can be stored without any hassle at all in a zippered compartment near the upper part of the case. All of the zippers are large enough to grab easily and they work very smoothly. A big deal for me. There are many compartments for stowing different things. I don’t know what to put in all of them. But I’m sure other people would have more use for them. It’s kind of like the Baggallini tote my wife travels with in that way. The extra packing bags within are a useful bonus if not exactly as heavy duty as the main bag itself. They will last a few trips at least. It’s surprisingly comfortable in backpack mode considering just how much weight I have managed to pack in there. A clever addition are the little straps that snap both backpack straps together in the front. These have worked great at keeping the main straps from sliding off my shoulders. That’s a very smart idea. I wish the computer backpack I use daily had this feature. Overall I like this bag a lot. I have purchased much more expensive luggage with less space inside. But I couldn’t resist the price of this thing. I had to order it and give it a try. I’m glad I did. It would be nice to be able to choose other fabric colors.

This bag has literally traveled the world with me. Consistent as a carry on (sometimes personal item), but large enough to use as a suitcase. This bag is versatile, and I’ve already convinced multiple friends to purchase. Surprisingly, the zippers hold up rather well to all of the pressure I put on it. And the straps are holding on, as I insist on wearing it as a backpack. I can officially say, I’ve backpacked across the world with this one. It has survived all of the elements and it’s still standing. Get it!

Backpack luggage is a great option for traveling in Europe, especially when you know you will be taking public transportation, walking on narrow uneven streets and walkways, and moving locations quite a bit. We bought three different Vancropak backpacks after researching several options, with price being a significant factor. We know there are higher quality options at a much higher price point. What we liked about the Vancropak packs is they are the maximum allowable dimensions for carry-on for most overseas airlines, and they are sufficiently featured with zippered compartments, and padding for the type of travel we planned for. They are not flimsy, nor super sturdy, but are of good quality fabric and construction. The brown trim is vinyl-like, and doesn't appear to be very durable. My daughter and wife continue to use their Vancropaks for stateside travel. It is nice to have both hands free, in comparison to a wheeled bag. They are reasonably comfortable to carry with a full load, although they would be better with a waist strap. The shoulder straps can be stowed in zippered compartments if needed, and they attach quickly and easily when needed. Overall, a good value.

I’ve purchase several bags on amazon and this one has been my favorite so far. Great compartment space and 4 cinches on the to squeeze it thinner! Love that! Plus the additional smaller bags to pack separate items inside. Great bag, but……the separate compartment bags don’t fit within the bag. You end up having to squeeze them in there to make them fit on the flat surface with one on top. Then the bag is higher on one side than the other. That usually works for me since it put my toiletries bag and then it evens out. Great backpack tho thru the airports and fit flat in every plane I’ve been on with it. Even the small ones. I never have to worry about gate checking. Wished a differ color but it works.

I was immediately impressed when I took this knapsack out of its packaging. It's lightweight but feels sturdy. The water-resistant exterior fabric is thick in a way that looks like it will not tear. The brown trim, which adds to the visual appeal, is thin fabric-like fake leather that might not hold up to sliding the knapsack in and out of an overhead airplane bin. The interior lining is a medium-weight plastic that should hold up. I've looked at other knapsacks with a lining that feels like paper. This lining is stronger than that. The nylon zippers are easy to zip and unzip. The side and top handles are thick and comfortable and are double-stitched (see image) under the exterior layer of fabric. Overall, the stitching looks substantial. There aren't many pockets and pouches for stashing stuff as in a conventional backpack. The amount and size of the pockets and pouches are more like a conventional suitcase. Except for the hideaway knapsack straps, this knapsack seems to be more of a suitcase style than a knapsack style. I like the color of the exterior fabric. Yes, it's grey, but it's not a dull grey or bland grey. I bought this item to fit in the overhead storage on an international flight because it meets the stricter size requirements they have. Also, it is unstructured which allows it to be malleable enough to get in an overhead bin. I'm sure though that it would not fit under an airline seat. Overall, I'm impressed with the item. I haven't yet traveled with it and hope it will hold up with repeated use. Recommended.

It works well as a weekender travel bag...it holds a lot... reasonable 3 to 4 days. Would be careful about under the seat space on a plane...a little tight... especially if you like to take up all the space provided in this bag. I'm happy with this purchase.

To be honest, I love the quality of the bag. I bought it because I thought it would expand to 50l but unfortunately, I had failed to read the description correctly and it turns out that the total capacity is actually only 40l, not 50l. When the bag arrived, it was clear that it was way too small to be 40l "unexpanded". In fact, it probably only expands to 40l, making the bag rather unusable for longer travel. It would've been perfect if it was the size it was advertised - ie "Extra Large 50L Airline Approved Travel Backpacks"

Usé la Vancropak Mochila de Viaje en mis viajes a Ciudad de México y Chicago, ¡y la verdad es que me encantó! Tiene espacio de sobra, así que pude meter todo lo necesario sin problemas, la combine con una bolsa de vacío y pude empacar muchísimas cosas. Los cubos de embalaje que vienen incluidos son súper útiles, me ayudaron a organizar mejor las cosas y aprovechar al máximo el espacio. Lo mejor es que es resistente al agua, así que ni la lluvia fue problema. Aunque llevaba alrededor de 10 kg, la mochila se sintió cómoda gracias a las correas acolchadas. Además, cumple con las medidas de equipaje de mano en la mayoría de aerolíneas, ¡perfecto para no pagar extra! En resumen, la Vancropak se ha vuelto mi mochila de viaje favorita. Cómoda, espaciosa y práctica. ¡Totalmente recomendada!

This little bag is everything you’d ever need in a carry on or a small suitcase. I packed it easily as a carry on and it seemed to have endless space while still maintaining its shape and small enough to be carried on the plane. I have not checked it yet though so not sure how it would fair being chucked around in cargo, but it’s easy to carry on my back(I’m a small person), straps are comfy and I can zip them into the bag if I don’t need them, it expands, and seems pretty sturdy. Great buy and the price was very reasonable(I got it on a deal).

J'ai eu à voyager au États-Unis et au Mexique dans les dernières semaines et j'ai adoré mon sac. Il est confortable sur les épaules, beaucoup de rangement à l'intérieur et il est parfait comme carry-on. Pour le prix, j'avais un peu peu que la qualité laisse à désirer mais ce n'est pas le cas du tout. Les sangles sont solide et le tissus est de qualité. Très heureux de mon achat. Petit bémol, il n'y a pas de porte-bouteille sur les côtés, c'est mineur comme problème mais c'est un petit irritant. Malgré tout, c'est un excellent sac de voyage.
