How often does it need to be replaced?

I use it exclusively for my face. So I haven’t had to replace it yet and it has been a couple of months. So i would say it depends on how you are using it.

Can this be put in the dishwasher?

We have several and they go through a steam cycle almost weekly in our dishwasher. We have several different items that we do at the same time. I have also boiled when a dishwasher isn't available

Does it lather well like a loofah?

I think it lathers just as nicely and it doesn’t carry that musty smell. It’s easy to use and clean. Plus it drys fast and I love the handle for holding onto and it hangs nicely and doesn’t take up much room. I love this way more than I love those puffy loofahs. It’s 100% worth it imo and you get 2 for a great deal. I gave my second one to my autistic son and he is loving it. It’s also gentle yet exfoliating and it’s like a nice massage in the shower or bath. I highly recommend this.

Is the third generation BPA free?

Good replacement for loofah, works better with certain body washes

Once I paired it with a body wash with more lather, this really checked all the boxes. I first tried with a higher end body wash and there was no foam at all; it felt like the body wash just slide off the scrubber. Could barely cover surface before needing to add more soap. When I used with store-bought body wash, it lathered more traditionally and lasted for the same amount of surface area as a regular loofah would. I love that you can put this in the dishwasher to wash, and the fact that it's antimicrobial is everything I was looking for.

Great replacement for mesh loofas

These have been a great alternative to the mesh loofas that no one replaces monthly as they should. Love the antibacterial and foaming qualities. It hangs perfectly in my shower to dry completely. Going to be buying more as stocking stuffers.

After 2 months of use, will no longer use mesh poufs. Effective enough to get a good clean yet still gentle on the sensitive bits. There may have been some comments/concerns with having to use more soap with this scrubber vs. the mesh poufs. We learned to use the same amount as we did previously but spread a little on arms, legs, etc, then go back and start washing/scrubbing each area OR use a little soap on a body part/area and then reapply.
