device works as intended, but ...
Item itself works as intended as TPM 2.0 is enabled for Asus Z170-A (beforehand bios updated to latest patch, and BIOS displayed TPM section that prior was not shown, with it now enabled with it plugged in) .However, this board only supports up to 7th gen intel, and Windows11 requirements needs 8th gen., so in that regards won't work as I had intended as i didn't read up on the cpu requirements :-\

Great product & it actually works
This is a great product, & it actually works. There is an actual OEM product, however costs more & are designed the same. I am using an ASUS ROG Edition 10 motherboard, & once this is plugged in, all you have to do is go into BIOS and turn on UEFI bios functionality (in my case it was titled as UEFI & legacy, I believe). Anyways, made sure it was turned on, & installed Windows 11 Pro with no problems. I am using an Intel i7 6950X processor. Again, everything worked as it should & easy to install & setup, highly recommend.

TPM install
Bought, installed on Assus, ROG Crosshair VI Hero I bought 8 years ago (TPM's have been around for a while), No instructions on how to install, had to do internet search (very easy), booted up, typed tpm.msc in run window and the computer recognized it with the message( the tpm is ready to use). I still have a few issues to fix concerned with CPU before the upgrade to W11. I will see what happens then! I will try to update when I successfully finish the upgrade! Doesn't hurt to be optimistic!

Windows 11 issue
It worked ok then Windows 11 has an issue with that TPM. [ The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware failed to execute a TPM command.] This is installed on an ASUS Motherboard Z390.

Worked with Z170A motherboard
Bought for my ASUS Z170A motherboard. Checked the pin out to make sure it would physically plug in. Lower row was 2 pins one plug and 4 pins so it matched and I ordered.Installed and powered on. I went into BIOS and the tpm option appeared. Selected TPM 2.0 ant the machine booted up with tpm capability (verified by running tpm.msc)Worked great, highly recommended...

Doesn't necessarily allow Windows 11 upgrade
While my motherboard (Asus Z170-A) has a TPM spot compatible with this module, I found that no CPU exists for the motherboard socket that is compatible with Windows 11. I need a new motherboard and CPU to allow an upgrade making this module pointless.

Good for my 14 pin TPM connection
Didn't realize there are other ASUS TPM connector types, got the right one this time. plugged in, went into the BIOS and it recognized it and everything's good. So now my PC's Windows 11 ready. The rest of the hardware exceeds the minimal requirements. Smart buy, worth the money.
