Ballsy Handy Shower Tool - Sponge for Generating Extra Suds, with Gently Exfoliating Design

(I think the big key here is that your skin has already been wet and warm in the shower for a few minutes prior to its use! .....but then!!!! And I'm not a dermatologist but I really wouldn't recommend using it any more than once a week? I'm going to use mine once every two weeks) I was a teen in the '80s and I was madly in love with old school loofahs. Then loofah suddenly became popular and they became much less effective. Yet there were more. I stopped using loofah's. I couldn't find anything that would work on me the same way so I basically would use a washcloth at best. I was still very disappointed because it never felt quite like it got clean. I have tried every possible bath scrubby.... always chasing that original loofah feeling. Well.... When I ordered this, I was somehow mistakenly under the impression that it was actually a case that I could put myself into as well so I was hoping it would help hold a bar soap still. When it arrives, I was extremely disappointed to find that I had no way of doing that and so I resolved myself to eventually altering it so that it would hold a bar of soap. BUT I hadn't had the opportunity to alter it yet and so I decided to go ahead and give it a test run prior so that I would know what adjustments would be needed. OMG..... Because I'm from loofah old school, I know that you need the warm water to have been hitting you for at least a few minutes before you try to scrub. You got to have something to scrub and the warm water loosens up the residue. I was entirely blown away! Not only did it clean like loofahs did in the early '80s! But, in bathing I would normally need to use eight or so pumps of body wash and in this case all I needed to do was two pumps on the shower tool and it really lathered up massively. Only two pumps did my whole person. Now when I was using this scrubbing tool, I NEVER scrubbed anywhere that a bikini would cover! I won't use it any more than like once every two weeks. I absolutely adore this! I'm glad I got one for myself and one for a friend!

I have been looking for a replacement for washcloths and loofas for quite some time. I got tired of loofas falling apart and washcloths eventually getting so thin that my fingers punched holes in them. When I came across this from Ballsy, I decided to give it a try. The first time that I used it, I have to be honest that it felt kind of rough and I felt like it was scratching my skin a little bit, however, the more I use it, I find myself liking the feeling. I can definitely tell that it is getting the dirt and funk off. I've used it every day for a month or so now (washed it a few times in the washer) and it seems to be holding up well. I will for sure be getting another one when this one takes its final curtain call.

Works great and is nicely rough to exfoliate my skin. However the stitching isn’t great and threads are already coming off where the handle is sewn on. Will still probably buy again.

I got this for my son when he went to Japan for duty in February. He says he uses it, it lathers well and he likes it, so I’m happy!

I have been using this sponge for over a year now. It offers great exfoliation without being too abrasive. It works well with soap and body wash equally. It is easy to run through a wash cycle if needed, which I do about once a week to disinfect. I have used it for multiple weeks in the past between washes, and it does not hold an odor if allowed to dry out by hanging from the elastic band on the back. They can last multiple months before starting to wear, but I replace mine monthly. It is a good value. I have subscribed to the same for a little money, but it is totally worth the price.

Poorly made . First use and the elastic started to tear . Out of the box it had some loose threads . Would not recommend. For the price there are other quality products on the market .

I like the sponge, but the strap is flimsy and is already torn after 10 days use. The exfoliation feature is great, and gentle on your skin. I like the sponge, but for the cost I would have expected better overall quality.

It’s small for my hand. Without the strap, it would be hard to hold in the shower. It is VERY rough. Tough on under carriage and arm pits. Probably great for cleaning grills. If you need tough scrubbing, this is it! After the review, the company contacted me to make things right. That’s amazing and I’m thankful. Great follow through!!

We've had this for a couple of months now, and it's still in good condition. I'm impressed!

I really like this product for the fact that I don’t have to use as much body wash as I used to with my loofa. The suds are amazing! The reason why I only gave 3 stars is because I feel the product is too small in size and it bends very easily making it harder and more time consuming to wash myself. I hope they make them a little bit bigger and less bendable and I’ll buy one again.

After seeing this on Amazon, thought it was a great gift for a teen. Very rough on the skin, not enjoyable.
