Soft like thunder
Soft like thunder is a new series connected to the savage crew series with a few familiar faces popping in.This is the story of Helen and Theo or Hells bells and Theodore, and what a story it was!!!Rich boy meets poor girl sparks fly more or less straight away, but things are never as they seem.Helen has been dealt a very hard hand in like dad in jail useless alcoholic, drug addicted mother and Helen is left to support the family only to make sure her baby sis is safe.Theo looks like a rich boy and plays the part well. His father is the university president he drives a flashy car and of course he is one of the popular guys who lives in a frat house but again things are not as they seem.I loved this book. The story kept you on the edge of your seat all the way through the characters. They were fantastic with great chemistry and not just the main characters. The wider group totally pulled you in as well and I can't wait to see where this series goes.Another fantastic read from Julia Wolf 100% recommend book, author and series.

Good read
Helen is a girl who has always been able to look after herself, her mother hasnt and she now wants to save her sister. She has made a deal to pay off her mother debt so that her sister can be with her which means working in a strip club from the tips the creeps give out. Things dont go well when two of Theos friends manage to mess up her life. They are rich lads who look down on people from the wrong side of town. Theo is also wealthy but Helen didnt know his history and when he finds out what happened he makes things right.

Another great read 😁
This book gave me all the feels, I loved Helen and Theo together. Hells is a bad a$$, the perfect kind of bestie, tough on the outside and soft on the inside with a plan to improve her life with the opportunity she has been given. Theo was a dichotomy i enjoyed discovering more about as the story progessed. I loved hearing about Madeleine and how she changed Helen's life. Life wasn't easy but Helen overcame her challenges as did Theo. The side characters were also interesting, I can't wait to read more about Zadie, Lachlan and Elena. This story has become my 2nd favourite after Bash and Grace and well worth the read. So glad i discovered this author.

Second Chance and Growth
3.85 ⭐️Helen who was first introduced in The Savage Crew series is back, but this time it’s her story which takes place at Savage U. With her being a college student now.A story of Second Chance and growth through learning between Helen ‘Hells’ Maria Ortega and Theodore ‘Theo’ Whitlock led to a journey full of drama and mystery surrounded by suspense. Plus with the secrets that were alluded to throughout, some of which appeared out of nowhere from the unexpectedness ultimately caused explosions from the bombs being dropped. All resulting from the twists that were thrown in, that just so happened to lead to some shocking revelations.Helen and Theo may have seem like complete opposites, given their differences when you took in their exterior. However that wasn’t always the case per se.Trekking through their story led to both being unravelled as the narrative progressed forward. Resulting in being stripped down raw, from their exposed and honest moments, slowly dropping their walls in allowing each other to see what was behind.J. Wolf created an array of emotions and feelings to come alight, gushing out with seeping through the pages. It pulled you in and yanked on your heart strings from feeling just what Helen and Theo were having to deal with. The fact that despite both being put through their paces given the trial and tribulations they faced and endured, always being tested to their limits. It showcased that they had their work cut out for them, but the fact that they didn’t stop proved they were capable of being strong and fighting through.Especially in Hells case, seeing as she was put through the ringer with everything that happened to her.And despite the complexity that made up who they were and what they were going through in their personal lives, it still managed to lure them to one another. The connection growing stronger the more they were in each other's presence. Even though they tried to fight with not wanting to accept that.Unfortunately there was a little hiccup for me, and that was the story feeling a little too long winded. It was just too much and too long at times in the length of the overall story for my liking. Ultimately causing my attention to wane from losing interest at times. All in all, J. Wolf still did a good job with writing Soft Like Thunder. Especially knowing Helen and Theo finally got the Happily Ever After they truly deserved given everything they had been through. It still has me looking forward to the next book within the Savage U series.

Breath stealing
Loved this book, great characters and beautifully written. I loved Gabe but Theo has stolen top spot with his treatment of Helen and his self awareness, taking control of his life to earn their love. Truly a rollercoaster if a read and worth every breath stealing moment.

5⭐️
I hadn’t read a Julia Wolf book in awhile. I hadn’t forgot how good her writing was and how complex and amazing her characters are, and this book did not disappoint. ☺️I liked Helen in the Savage Crew series and It was so good to see her get her own book. Theo describes Helen as softness behind spikes and it sums up this amazing girl so well.Theo himself is a pretty amazing character too but has adapted himself to a new life to survive. He has to reach back into himself to earn Helen and find himself again. There are definitely some ups and downs in this book but the story is emotional and beautiful.Moving on to book 2.

Phenomenal start to the series! 🔥
Julia didn’t pull any punches with this book, it was freaking amazing!!I’m so glad Helen (Hells Belles) got her HEA. I enjoyed her the in the Savage Crew series, it was fun to hear about those characters again too.Helen & Theo’s story is told in dual POV. The character…gah…they’re amazing. The character depth and growth is out of this world. Definitely shed a few tears while reading this. And plenty of steam too, amazing chemistry.I absolutely love a strong, fierce FMC and Helen has it in spades. She and Theo come have had an awful childhood and they both have to figure out their sh$&, I’m so glad we get to join them in their journey. Theo and his sparkly eyes…swoon. The side characters were also great in this book. I can’t even wait for Zadie and Amir’s book. Really hope we get a story for Lock and one for Elena too (the girl really grew on me).Favorite quote (Theo telling Helen what she deserves):“A man who’ll burn down the world and rebuild it for you. The kind of man who’ll be shoulder to shoulder with you in battle, and when push comes to shove, they’ll step in front of you and take the brunt of it.”Grab this book today, bet you’ll love it!

🖤 Theo & Helen 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/6.🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5.I loved this! Helen is a force to be aware of. Literally!Loved the fact that she brings a bat into a conversation and I love her prickly exterior.Loved that once Theo wore her down, he loved the person that she was underneath her nonsense and prickly attitude which made him push for more and want more of her softness.I loved Theo too. He had some things he needed to work through and I liked how he asked for help in order to achieve what he wanted instead of trying to do it all on his own.I loved how he took care of everything for Helen even when she didn’t asked to or wanted to.I loved their banter together and their sexy times.I loved Lachlan too and I’m still wondering how the way a person says his name equals to how it is spelled 😂).Loved Elena too and I’m excited for her book which I have an annotated copy of it done by The Book Refuge who I love.Amir story is next and I’m interested to know what happened with the roommate and how that all will go.

fantastic book, couldn’t put it down
This book completely mesmerised me, I couldn’t stop reading it until that amazing ending. This book has drugs, strippers, rich snobbery, wrong side of the tracks, uppity parents and oh so much more.Loved the relationship journey, the trust the built slowly, the Nick names and turbulence. The sexual tension is completely off the charts and the steamy scenes were hot AF.Love to read a few spin off books - so many amazing characters.Overall a fantastic book the I throughly enjoyed

loved it
I knew right in the prologue when Helen chased three boys out of her workplace with a bat that I was going to love this story.Helen is one fierce female and I was here for it. You are introduced to her in the savage crew books and while we gets hints about her character you don’t really understand her true struggles until her book.To put it nicely, Helen has had her share of troubles and she refuses to give up. She will do whatever she needs to do to keep herself and her little sister safe especially if it’s her mom who keeps causing the danger. She is given the opportunity of a life time which leads her to Savage U where she encounters Theo again after that fateful night that changed her life.Their journey to their HEA is heartbreaking, emotional and filled with so much angst that I couldn’t put the book down. As more characters were introduced and brought in, I had so many questions and needed to see where it was going.Theo was the perfect counter part for Helen. While they had their own bumps and some miscommunication when he realizes how much she means to him, nothing can make him give her up. Especially if it’s Helen asking him to walk away. This is book 1 in the series and let me tell you, I quickly devoured the others. Stay tuned for those reviews 😏Please check the trigger warnings since this is a dark romance novel.
