Best strategy board game ever. Total removal of any luck element, so an actual test of skill

This was a great suggestion by my son to play over Christmas with the family so looking forward to doing so.

Pretty decent for the price. Does not come with bags for the pieces, which I'm not keen on, it's hard to tell who is who. The lines between provinces could be better. It's a good one buy to try with your friends, as it is renowned for being a marmite game! If you like it you can get a better copy, if you don't, it's only £15 quid and can probably sell onwards for a tenner.

Complicated but fun, be warned could cause fall out between players as people join forces to support play

The lines between provinces are so fine, and the blue and black for England and Germany are so dark, that you cannot see province lines in critical places on the map. This is also bad for Italy (although Italy is somewhat more legible). How on Earth do you produce a Diplomacy board whose SOLE PURPOSE is legibility and make everything bloody impossible to see? Get an older version if you can. This version is just awful (and don't get me started on the cheap paper counters....can't even give us wooden or metal armies and navies!?).

SO COOL. I don't have enough people to play it with so including alternative ways to play with less players is actually really nice. Been playing a lot of the 2 player games

Jeu conforme, arrivé en bon état. Matériel de qualité, règles en anglais comme attendu (elles se trouvent partout sur internet). En revanche j'ai eu 14 euros de frais de douane (la moitié du prix de l'article). N'ayant pas été informé que le vendeur était hors ue, je préfère vous prévenir. Si j'avais su j'aurais acheté le jeu ailleurs.

Questo gioco è un vero classico della strategia, perfetto per chi ama la profondità e le partite in cui il vero protagonista è l’abilità di trattare, convincere e pianificare. Non si basa sulla fortuna dei dadi, ma tutto dipende dalla capacità di stringere alleanze, rispettarle… o tradirle al momento giusto. Le partite sono sempre diverse: ogni scelta, ogni accordo e ogni rottura cambiano radicalmente il corso del gioco. Questo lo rende estremamente rigiocabile e coinvolgente, soprattutto se si è in un gruppo che ama discutere, negoziare e pensare a lungo termine. L’ambientazione storica dell’Europa dei primi del Novecento aggiunge un tocco di fascino, rendendo ancora più interessante la costruzione delle strategie. Il materiale è essenziale ma funzionale: plancia chiara, segnalini pratici e regole ben strutturate. Non è un titolo immediato, richiede tempo e dedizione, ma proprio per questo sa regalare ore di vero divertimento e momenti memorabili. È un acquisto consigliato a chi cerca un’esperienza profonda, intelligente e senza tempo, che mette alla prova tanto la mente quanto la capacità di leggere gli altri giocatori.
