Great Safety Item
Great product shame Garmin's subscriptions are not cheap

Well worth purchasing
I'm doing a 900 mile charity walk on my own, sometimes without a phone signal and this gadget is well worth the price. Family and friends can track me and message me if they think I might be in need of help. Automatically uses phone signal with paired phone if available or Iridium satellite if not. SOS Button. Subscription required.

Peace of mind
Works great- allows messages to be sent where there is no signal. Garmin's subscription packages are a bit pricey and but with a 24/7 call centre available wherever, it is hard to argue really.

A decent device but with limited use if you're sailing
I bought this to let peole know where I was during long passages at sea. This product does what it says on the tin but the apps are predictably rubbish. The messaging app is OK, but if you want to publish your position for everyone to see, they can only see the last message you post. The weather forecasts are ridiculous if you're sailing - completely useless - and this doesn't allow you to download gribs or proper forecasts. Good points: - cheap compared to other devices, also from a subscription standpoint. - allows you to stay in touch with friends and family - allows you to send an SOS call (though if you're ocean sailing, you should have an EPIRB) - really well made device and rugged. Won't break easily. Bad points: - apps - weather - limited functionality.

Unreasonable subscription costs
They have upped the subscription cost which really has made it very unreasonable. £48 each time you want to activate it for a trip.

U go on outdoor trips you want to feel atleast you have a chance calling for help. Get the product. You can also pay extra for insurance that when help is sent, some of the cost will be covered. Could be useful in the US? idk read the legal documentation urself. Definitely useful if u r going abroad and offroad for whatever reasons. It is a luxury item to have but it definitely feels good to know when all else fails atleast i have this to call for help as a last resort. bare in mind if u have it on in the building or not in the open, the harder it is to acquire signal the more power it consumes. When i am outside all day battery last couple of days, maybe 3 or 4 tops. When i was indoors 24 hours, the battery died less than a day.

Très pratique en montagne en zone blanche 👍. appareil très léger avant une grande autonomie.

Envoie rapide. Il fonctionne parfaitement. Petit bémol pour les prix de l'abonnement de base.
