This product is Definitely good for thick coarse hair(Even short length). Needless to say if straighten or blow out your hair it'll look polished. Best used with clean moisturized hair. Good for sleek looks and braids. Definitely a regular item to purchase forever. For molding and hold, Works well with pump it up spritz, No white flakes.

Doesn’t feel like the original wax. It holds but it’s too oily unlike before.

I used this to twist hubby dreads and he loved it . I will purchase again

this is one of the best loc gels but it is also a great braiding gel and edge control,very thick and last very long.it is not greasy

This product has a consistency similar to a mix of hard wave grease (that men use for making waves) and hard-set jello. I was expecting the typical gel consistency but then realized it is called “gel wax”. So, beware that this really isn’t just loc gel. I tried the product on 2 of my locs (the bottom 2 locs shown in the 2 pictures). In the first picture, I tried the product on dry hair and in the second, I dampened the locs, added a bit more product and twisted again. From this, I learned that my hair must be damp for the product to “work”. As you can see, on the first picture, the loc to the far right doesn’t look as tightly held as the same loc in the second picture. The product is clear and doesn’t appear to leave flakes or a visible residue but my hair felt greasy to the touch until the product dried. I’m not sure how well the hold will be until later but I’m not feeling too confident about it holding together thicker locs. Some of my locs are the thickness of a finger. I also suspect that this product will attract dust and lead to build up because of the sticky/waxy consistency. It definitely leaves your hands sticky-greasy.

I've tried so many other products on my child's hair and nothing would hold the locs in place. I saw this product being used by someone on YouTube and it is the only product that works on my Childs hair. I've purchased twice already. I highly recommend this product, dries clear and not flaky.

It lays my 4c hair down! A little water and this product with a brush does wonders! The tea tree oil smells good and I’m hoping it’s helping my hair.Trust me, I’m not a girly who knows how toDo her hair all that well and this was not difficult to use!
