Perfect, fits perfect, good quality, great function!.

This is the ultimate accessory for that stainless steel brewing system with a plastic filter basket. In my case I have the VP17 coffee maker and wanted to go ‘all out’ and add the stainless brew basket. This is an extremely well made component which slides into the brewer like a hand into a glove. The body is constructed of lightly brushed stainless steel, which matches the body of the VP17, and has a wire basket inside which slightly elevates the filter and coffee grounds for what is presumably a more even brewing process. The only plastic part is the handle, which is extremely heavy duty, easy on the hand, and keeps the user well insulated from the heated water and used grounds. Be sure to search using a few strategies to get the best pricing (Bunn s/s filter basket, Part 20216, Splashguard, etc) as I discovered a wide pricing envelope for the same item ($35 to $80). Obviously one would prefer the lower of those options, considering it is in fact, for the exact same product. So what’s left to consider? Oh yeah, the looks. Well this is the crowing addition to an already impressive piece of hardware, which is the Bunn coffee maker. Converting the stock plastic basket to this stainless model is an addition which I’m totally satisfied with. Impervious to warping and corrosion, this item makes the coffee maker even more durable, and attractive. Keep coffee brewing painless, by completely going stainless.

The funnel itself is fine, good quality but over priced. It does NOT, however, work with the BX model Bunn Coffee maker so I had to return it.

Works perfect

I like the look of this stainless steel funnel and it matches my coffee maker but I can’t say that it changes or enhances the taste of my coffee over the plastic one that came with my coffee maker. It also costs far too much money

I've had this for 11 years and it's held up perfectly, so obviously it's done its job. I don't mind paying a slightly higher price if it means something's going to last. To ensure your coffee brews as hot as it can, I recommend running some hot water through the funnel first so it doesn't pull as much heat out of the water when the coffee's brewing. Regarding the separate funnel tip kit, I go back and forth on whether it's really required. Without it, 1500 mL of water drain from the funnel in about 2 minutes and 8 seconds; with the funnel tip it drains in about 2 minutes and 20 seconds. Obviously, with coffee grounds in the filter it will take longer, but it goes to prove that the tip kit doesn't drastically alter the brew time. You could probably make up the difference by grinding a little finer.

Long lasting stainless steel no plastic

This BUNN Stainless Steel Funnel is a fantastic upgrade for functionality, and for looks. it has been a breeze to clean so far. There have been reviews that have stated that they don't feel like it's made very well, but I'm assuming they received a counterfeit product, because the real Bunn basket is made from some pretty sturdy metal. It's a wonderful addition to the coffeemaker, and I recommend it if you're against plastic touching your coffee, or if you want something you know will last. Tengo la VP 17, y este accesorio es mandatorio para este tipo de cafeteras, es una inversion mandatoria, el portafiltro original de plastico lo debes de mandar a la basura en forma inmediata y ponerle uno de estos. Me salio mas barata en amazon mexico que si la hubiera comprado en USA. No olvides tener suficients filtros Bunn tambien.

I ordered the stainless funnel and funnel-kit for my BUNN VP-17. I received the brewer before the stainless kit and made a couple pots using the plastic funnel that came with the brewer. Then I used the stainless and let me tell you, you can taste the difference. That difference is that funky plastic smell leeching from the plastic funnel into the coffee. If you don't replace the stock plastic funnel with the OEM stainless and funnel-kit, you may as well stick to buying the cheap $30 plastic brewers at the hardware store.

An original quality Bunn funnel. So much better than the plastic one. Easy to clean and will probably last forever.
