what can I say ? it works

This adapter is pretty awesome in that it's: 1. Cheap. 2. Small. 3. Works flawlessly. I purchased it to attach my xbox 360 to a pico projector while on the go, and I just leave it permanently attached to the xbox's vga adapter. It doesn't take up any more space than it needs to and works very well. I've seen others on the market that do essentially the same thing but are a bit bigger, which could be good if you are worried about losing it. In my case, however, I was looking for something that takes up as little space as possible. After all, everything my pico projector needs fits in a large ziplock bag!

Works as expected

This is a great little tool for the tool box. Every now and then you run across a task that requires tools from the old technology era. Whether your working on a old Cisco router or a firewall from the past the DB9 connector might be a thing of the past but the appliances aren't.

Should only be used for those temporary emergency fixes. We used it to extend a 3' cable to 6' using a second 3' cable. Picture quality was badly degraded. We ended up ordering a longer cable to fit our needs. Not recommended.

Did not arrive in Startech packaging (previous order did). Plating is dull compared to Startech gender changers. Shell punching is different to Startech gender changers. Shell is not properly cinched together all around. Yes, it is a D9 male to male gender changer, but it doesn't have the appearance of quality of a Startech product. I could have bought better quality, cheaper, at the local electronics store.

Not much to say except that it changes the gender of the cable and is very compact, adding just a few milimetres to the original connector.
