365 New Words-A-Year Page-A-Day Calendar 2023: From the Editors of Merriam-Webster Calendar – Day to Day Calendar, September 27, 2022

I sent this to my niece for her birthday. She absolutely loved it! She likes using words that I don't know and have to look up, even though she is 12.

Not much to say. It promises you a new vocabulary word a day and...voila! It delivers. Most of the words have been on the unusual and rare side, which is what I want out of something like this, but there have been a few I thought were fairly common and could have been replaced with something more interesting. Still, I got this as a gift for a 10-year old rather than for myself, so what seems common to me may be quite new for them.Overall, a fun gift for a curious mind. (And it's fun to learn the word with them and then set a challenge that we each have to try to use the word 3 times during the course of the day.)

Each and every morning I go to my desk with coffee in hand, of course. Sit down and pull back yesterday's sheet on my calendar. Just 2 mins a day to see what new word there is for today. It sits right in front of me and I try with all of my might to use that word every day. Kind of a game that I do to see how many times I can use it. It keeps me motivated and those 2 mins are some of the most peaceful mins of my day.

I absolutely love this calendar! It is a fun way to (re)learn new words and keep your mind sharp.Today's word of the day is: hubris \'hyu-bres\n: exaggerated pride or self-confidence.

I bought this for work. Some words I knew but it is nice to reinforce with the definitions and examples of when to use the word appropriately. Its a nice tool to expand your vocabulary.

My boss loves this calendar. I buy it for him every year. Yes, he really does love it. He used to buy it for himself, but then I started giving it to him with his Christmas presents.
