A4 is too big for the compact planner. The inserts that typically come with them are 3.7x 6.6 so Personal size paper works well, but A6 size paper is a little too short.

Q: Does the Franklin Covey Refills fit the compact version ?

It looks like the Franklin has 7 rings, this has 6. You would need to check out the spacing between holes.
