We were raising our abused and neglected nieces and nephews for about two years. These punch cards turned neediness and rebellion into order and thinking before acting. The cards are quality enough to last a week or a month on the fridge. The hole puncher is rough but works for what it is. We found letting the children choose their reward was best. We adjusted the punches according to cost and hardness of reward. The hard part is corrections with them as well. If there is a major set back with behavior, we did have the children restart their card. While this invoked an emotional response, it also taught them to take responsibility.

These have been the only thing to get my 3 year old to potty train. We put a reward on the card and she gets a punch for using the toilet. We did a 360° from never wanting to go on the toilet to nearly potty trained within a week!
