My son one 3rd place in the science fair. This product was well made and made the project simple to set up at school.

My son used this for an 8th grade science fair project. It worked well and we all learned a few things about our nasty water.

Use bottles instead of this kit. They had barely any pebbles to have an efficient experiment. Stick to using natural resources and gather rocks from outside. Besides, the sand here clouded our water, it goes through the entire filter. I’m just saving y’all money here.

This Pinwheel Crafts DIY Water Filter Kit includes all the necessary supplies and some kinda weak instructions. The idea is to build a water filtration system using sand and pebbles. The main issue was the smaller filters didn't fit into the containers well, so you had to kind of force them down....but you could create a functional water filtering system if you were careful. But note the kit only gives you three filters, and they get blocked up with sand after one or two uses. A great idea, and still fun and educational, but the manufacturer got a lil cheap with the parts for the kit...four stars.

I recently tried the Water Purification STEM Kit with my kids and I have to say, it was a really fun and educational experience. The kit includes pebbles, sand, three filter chambers, a filter support card, four pieces of filter paper, and step-by-step instructions. One of the things I really appreciated about this kit is that it taught my kids how water is cleaned and purified. As a parent, it's important to me that my kids understand the importance of clean drinking water, and this kit helped make that concept tangible and easy to understand. My kids love science, and this was a perfect project for them to learn and experiment. They were able to build their own water filtration system using the materials provided, and we were able to test the effectiveness of each layer of the filter using water with different levels of impurities. Overall, I highly recommend the Water Purification STEM Kit for anyone looking for a fun and educational project to do with their kids. It's a great way to teach them about the importance of clean drinking water, and it's a fun way to get them excited about science. No complaints here - we had a blast with this kit!
