This product helps sharpen and clean out your club grooves to get your spin and feel back. Unlike the cheap versions this one is built to last for multiple uses. For someone who has 5 sets of clubs I needed more than a 1-2 use tool. Use a towel to catch the scrapings as the rounded edges are sharpened up. The worn metal will come out in some small shavings you will want to do outside or catch on a towel. I do agree that the instructions could be more clear on the two different heads of the tool and how to use. I found covering the end I wasn’t using with the cap helps to not get cuts on your hand as you scrape out your grooves. All in all a solid product and helpful to get more years out of your clubs.

Love this tool. It was pricey but seems like it will last. Saw an immediate difference after sharpening the wedges and now going to refresh all my iron grooves.

It's legit. I have had others and this one give you confidence of not over grooving and works very well.

Turns out irons are made out of some tuff metal. This tool is tougher and actually cuts it. It took me about 5 minutes to freshen up the groves on my wedge. I have done three other irons and the tool is still sharp. It's expensive but it is cheaper than buying new clubs.

Recently had a chance to put my new GrooveX to the test. A golf enthusiast for over 50 years, and still hover around scratch, and pretty analytical about my golf. I put a lot of wear on my wedges ( they are about 2 1/2 years old), and was curious about whether or not GrooveX was any different than other groove tools I have tried in the past that really just didn’t do the job. It is easy to use, stays in the groove better than anything else I have tried, and I could actually feel the edge cutting on the steel. One of the shots I like to use is the one that takes a hop or two and then puts on the brakes. After a few passes on the grooves of my wedges, I could tell the “bite” had returned to those shots. It was even more evident when the greens were a little tighter, firmer and faster, which his where I felt as though I had lost the ability to execute that “biting” shot. No doubt in my mind that the GrooveX does what they say it will do and that it outperforms the competition. Definitely something to have in the bag.

The Groovex is the most expensive groove sharpener on the market and there is no getting around that. However, the end result is quite impressive. Pictured are my Stepdads SM8's. Being retired he plays more days a week than he doesn't. These wedges might have seen as many as 200 rounds. In the summer he'd been getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of stopping power he was getting and naturally thought he should get new wedges. I'd already invested in the Groovex, and had seen the benefits of truly cleaned and sharpened grooves and gave his a go. The great thing about the material is that you know all of the fillings are from the wedge and not the tool giving you confidence the tool is an investment and will pay itself off over time. The process takes 10 minutes with the first sharpen being harder than the ones that follow. This tool has likely put off new wedges for another season at least, pushing back the inevitable new wedges for some time. I now find myself periodically sharpening the wedges to maintain the edges and can't fault the performance at all. The extra spin allows me to play more aggressively at a target and worry less about roll out and just playing the number. This opens up more up and down opportunities, ultimately improving your scores and game.

Always had trouble getting back spin on my ball but now I can stick it to within a foot or two of my divot, very happy with this purchase
