Q: Are there 10,000 matches? it says that there are 100 matchbooks and 20 matches in each book. i want to ensure that i am purchasing what i think.

Hello, there are 2000 matches total. (100 books X 20 matches per book).

Q: Are these matches scented or do they smell like lighter fluid? Matches from other companies have triggered asthma attacks in our family.

Just like most matches, these have the normal sulphur smell right after striking the match. It g ok.....it goes away fairly quick though.

Q: Is there a company name on the spine of the matchbook? Is there any printing anywhere on the matchbook?

No company name anywhere. The only writing inside and out is the very small print “Be safe. Keep cover closed”. This is on the edge that you can’t see when closed.
