Big Talking Watch with Jumbo Numbers for Visually impaired with North American Male Voice

TO WAKE IT UP: hold the top right button for more than 5 seconds.I purchased this for my 91year-old dad on 11/7/2024 and was delivered sooner than expected on 11/8/24! He has been battling progressive vision loss due to macular degeneration which is compounded by also having glaucoma for many years. Subsequently gift giving has changed as most activities he once enjoyed are no longer an option. Now it’s about finding items that truly enhance his quality of life and make him feel a bit more “normal” if you will. My dad has always been big on watches and any type of time piece and is quite particular about these items.Approximately 6 years ago I surprised him with his first talking watch. It was an atomic, digital version with a button on the top. Not the most attractive, but very effective and turned out to be one of the best, most used give I’ve ever given him.After 6 years and the demise of his 2nd atomic watch, I thought I'd see what other options might be available; hopefully something a bit more attractive/upscale in appearance. In my search I was drawn to the Cirbic talking watch with jumbo numbers. I was so happy to find something that looks like a traditional, well-made watch and the fact that it’s not "atomic". I was a bit hesitant given some of the reviews indicating the "talking" portion stopped working within a very short amount of time but ordered it anyway.Upon arrival the appearance was very impressive and I couldn't wait to gift this! My dad can't really see the numbers on the dial but he likes the big round face and how it fits on his wrist and the comfort of the leather band. The voice is clear and loud which is another key feature as my dad's hearing isn't that great either. Most importantly it keeps excellent time. We live in Arizona and do not follow daylight savings and his prior “atomic” watch required a “manual” update to the time zone twice a year. While it seems like a minor inconvenience, it’s a big deal for someone who can’t see well enough to do this on their own.I gave this to my dad on Veteran’s Day (11/10/24). To say he was completely surprised and thrilled would be an understatement. It's a handsome watch for sure, the fit is absolutely perfect and he was showing it off everywhere he went. Needless to say, he was quite disheartened when the “talking” feature stopped functioning after just 10 days.to gift this! Visually it seemed to work just fine and was keeping perfect time. The issue was specifically the button that speaks the time. wasn't working and would stick when depressed.Despite trying the "wake up" protocol it wasn't working so it seemed there was in fact something not right.I reached out to Cirbic directly and was very impressed with an immediate response. I explained the exact issue. They promised and delivered a brand-new watch right away. My dad was relieved when the replacement watch was received in a matter of days. This is a great watch and I highly recommend it. I also want to commend Cirbic for their excellent customer service!

I recently purchased the Talking Watch and I have been extremely impressed with its functionality and design. The big numbers make it easy to read the time, and the clear and loud voice allows to hear the time every time you press the button.The design is sleek and elegant, and it goes well with any outfit or occasion. The setup was very easy, and the instructions were clear and concise. It is a great tool for those with visual impairments.Overall, I highly recommend the Talking Watch to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish timepiece with excellent functionality and design. It has made a significant improvement in my father's in law daily life and I am grateful to have found such a great product.

The watch appears well made and easy to operate. It talks in a loud and acceptably clear voice. However, it stopped talking after less than two months of operation, very soon after the return window has closed. I was very disappointed.Update: the company promptly contacted me and offered to send a new watch. It arrived and is so far working perfectly. My mom even says that she can see the numbers on the face better on the new watch -- even though she still mostly relies on the voice. I do hope that it lasts longer than the first one.

We have not even had this watch for 3 months it was perfect for my 94 year old father for the first 40 days then it stopped talking. That is the feature he most needed. Very disappointed in this.

This talking watch is nicer than I expected. The face is large and the hands and numbers are actually visible. The best feature of this watch is how easy it is to use. The side button that makes it speak the time is easy to find. It is the only push button. The voice speaks clearly. A second push will speak the day of the week and date. After the initial setting of the time, which requires help from a non visually impaired, it keeps time perfectly. So far so good. I really like it.

This is great for people of low vision. My friend could hear it clearly and see the dial, too.

Very happy with this watch, especially compared with the last one my mother had. This one has VERY simple instructions for set up and the large, bold face is easy to read for my mother who has severe macular degeneration. She is thrilled.

Disappointed. Voice is soft. Cannot adjust voice stated time when time changes.
