This saw is smooth, easy to handle and the exhaust does a very good job of directing the dust away and down. I have not experienced any problems with seeing cut lines and the overall balance is great.

Battery seems to last a decent amount of time. If you have 1 or 2 extra batteries, you can run all day.If you're ripping, might wanna drag out of chord.Cuts real smooth, not heavy, nice tool.

This is my first battery-powered circular saw. I must say that the reduced weight over the old metal AC-powered saws really makes a difference. I've sawed a variety of different lumber and plywood sizes with it and I haven't ran ran out of power on it yet. The stock blade it came with did a pretty good job for being a "factory" blade, but when I put my good blades on it really did great. The trigger lock-out switch, while annoyingly necessary, is reasonably well placed. I was able to trigger the saw with one hand, even though I have smaller hands. Charge time on the 36V battery is pretty good. I really like the new charger. I've bought into the Hitachi/Metabo battery system and this is by far the best charger. I'm using it primarily for all of my 18V stuff as well.Now for the down-side... The only thing I would say they really NEED to do to the saw is add a way to store the blade wrench. I can guarantee this one is going to be lost in a month or two and I'm going to have to go sacrifice a wrench to keep handy with the saw. Otherwise, it could benefit from some slightly better materials and marking, but it is what it is at this price point.All in all, you can't go wrong with this saw for typical homeowner jobs around the house or in the woodshop.

I'm a semi retired carpenter and have always used worm drive saws.(rear handle, blade on the left)I've been waiting for the industry to come out with a battery powered replacement brushless rear handle saw that wasn't extremely heavy and user friendly, This is the one for me!Good weight balance, plenty of power and good battery life at this point.If I encounter any issues I will update my review accordingly, Michael..

Bought this for a fellow framing buddy as a Christmas present. He loved the saw, but informed it was not a kit. Ended up with a bare tool and I've got a few hoops to jump through because the saw is not currently in my possession, add that I've gotta purchase another and we'll...how fun is that?

I was actually kinda pissed at myself for ordering the saw when I saw it because I always hated the worm drive rear handle saws, but, let me tell you this thing is light and cuts smoother than any circular saw I've ever used. You can use it with 1 hand and have no fear of the saw going crazy. I cut so many times through 2x4 pressure treated and many sheets of plywood, the included battery was only down to half capacity! I love it!!!!

(hows it hanging?) just fineBest saw ever, will it last 20 yrs like my Milwaukee worm saw? Time will tell. Will I buy again YES!!!!!!
