Loc-Line 40463 Magnetic Base Manifold with Hose

I bought two of these for use as compressed air delivery for cooling the cutting surfaces on my lathe and mill in my home shop. (We also use these in the same way in the shop at work.) Snapping the nozzles on can be a real challenge, but having done so, they work fine. (Loc-Line also sells a pricey tool to aid in assembling the lines, which you'll likely use once, maybe twice.)

Good alternative.

This magnetic distribution block is well made out of machined aluminum and it's powerful magnet sticks anywhere that is steel and provides one input and four outlets, three around the perimeter and one on the top at a 90 degree angle to the input, so if you can't find a good angle you just aren't trying. It is provided with plugs for the holes that you may or may not use so you are all set from the get go. Snapping the parts together really needs the optional tool to do it easily but can be managed if you use some ingenuity the forces involved are mighty so do yourself a favor if you are going to ever do more that one or want to change tips often get the installation tool. Great to direct the flow of coolant, mist, or air right where needed. It is not expensive if it saves you from burning up one end mill, think of it that way, your tools and checkbook will be happier in the end.

About what I expected.Works fine. They should make it clear that you can't assemble most of the pieces without the special tool that is sold separately for about $25, unless you are as pretty crafty. I was able to use several sizes of drill bits and a cutoff wheel on some aluminum flat bar and make something that you can put in a vise and snap the pieces together, but they are quite tight and most people will need the tool. Once together the product works just fine!
