Nice looking drain but the drain hole is small and the hair catch bucket, that goes in the hole to catch hair in the drain is also small and fills up really quickly. It has to be cleaned out regularly. Tile was added in the area to add match tile so it looks clean but because of the weight it causes water to pool around the drain. The drain needs to be bigger to accommodate the water flow. Can’t replace it since it’s built around the tile floor. All the other reviews raved about this drain. Don’t know if a more expensive option would have been better. I will never know.

The linear drain for the shower will need very regular cleaning, say every month - 3 months. Buildup happens quickly with conditioner's, shavings and shampoos. We both have very short hair so it lasted slightly longer. The drainage slowed down quite a bit and eventually backed-up. When I lifted and opened the cover plate it was very obvious the catchment basket was clogged with shower soap, conditioner and so on. The pan was very dirty and built up shower/soaps slime quickly. I did notice that the drain angles puddled on each end and that was where the majority of soap/conditioner build up was. An improvment needs to be made so that angles are more sharply made toward the center drain hole. It was obvious that puddling was a lot to blame for the build up to chunks (gross) of soap/gels and conditioners. As Ive stated, we both have short hair but that didn't stop the hair catchment basket from building up very quickly. Drainage was somewhat retarded due to lack of angle on each end and so even when clean, its visible that shampoo bubbles just linger on the surface and do not exit the top plate systematically and then the ends slow it down even more causing the buildup.

The gold color on this drain is just terrible. Does not match any major brand of fixture. Went to return and window had already closed. Buyer beware.
