DEWALT 20V MAX* Cordless Caulking Gun, Sausage Pack, 300-600ml, Tool Only (DCE580B)

I'm a union carpenter and I've tried all the top name brands but dewalt is the best for caulking.

Doing capstone caulking on 5 buildings solo... HAD to buy this baby. I already have some 20v Dewalt tools so seeing this I knew it was going to accept my batteries. It’s quick, speed adjustable and runs a nice even bead. Love how it has an auto backup so it doesn’t gob up when stopping. Battery use is minimal, used it 3 days in a row on one of the high cap Dewalt batteries and still had one bar left. I did end up needing to replace the battery with a fresh one about midway through the 4th day. The one little issue I have is that it doesn’t fully use the caulk in the sausages, not a huge deal but I don’t like wasting material. It’s an easy “fix” though, I just got a ping pong ball and dropped it into the tube before the sausage. Helps squeeze that last ounce or so out. Really wish I bought this sooner, I absolutely recommend it.

I started a 1200 square-foot hardwood floor project which I need to put down about 49 to 5520 ounce sausage tubes of glue. When I started the project I didn’t charge up my 4aH and battery as it was showing three bars after sitting for several months. I went through around 29 of the 20 ounce tubes and the battery still showed two bars. This is roughly around 800 ft.² of flooring. Very impressive! Not to mention the strain of trying to pull a lever on a normal caulking gun for that many square feet.

I really don't know what the "warmth" category is... but this gun is a game changer. I do Hardwood floors. When you are doing a glued and nailed floor there used to only be 2 options for guns like this. 1. A hand pump gun. Yeah, it takes forever and your hand is dead way before lunch. 2. A pneumatic gun. It requires another air hose, set at a separate pressure. It gets in the way and requires a ton of maintenance. Now you have option number 3. The electric gun runs for days on 1 2ah battery. It has adjustable flow speed and no longer causes your hoses to tangle. Really works well. I've loved using this gun and highly recommend it. Even if it is a bit expensive.

Had a Milwaukee for eons , have a fair amount of dewalt cordless tools , so I tried this gun since I had so many y batteries, and what a difference. It seems smoother . The test will be with longevity . But it's made in USA so I'm hoping it lives up to that !
