Ease of use
This works very well, once you set it up and write down the passphrase onto the supplied notepad. Downloaded the Ledger live app, added a pin code to the Nano and it connected perfectly via the supplied USB cable. I can easily read the screen on the Nano and the button placement is good. I have withdrawn Crypto and sent Crypto to and from the Nano with no problems at all via the Ledger live app. This is a good bit of kit and having my Crypto offline makes me more confident of it not being stolen.

Good upgrade to the Nano S
I purchased this to replace my Nano S as I was constantly removing apps due to the limited storage on the older model. This has the same solid build and quality software that ledger provide but far more storage so I can keep all of my apps installed at the same time. It is a lovely, compact little hardware wallet very easy to store. The two button standard interface works and the screen although small is bright and legible. The setup process via ledger live was easy and intuitive.

Seems good but doesn't have Bluetooth
Easy to set up but I've yet to add my crypto currency to it. I didn't know it doesn't have Bluetooth so I can't connect it to my mobile phone. It only contains a charging cable, so I've now had to buy a usb c, to usb c cable. Not a massive problem but I would have liked to have known before hand. Apparently the Nano X has Bluetooth, so that might suit some people better. Otherwise it seems a good product so far.

Ledger is capable of dangerous things
Ledger’s entire brand was built on a single promise: “Your private keys never leave the device.” That was their core trust contract with the entire crypto world. The second they released Ledger Recover, that contract shattered — not because everyone suddenly thought their keys were stolen, but because **they proved the device could export them if they wanted to. Let’s break it down: ⚙️ What Ledger was selling - Closed-source firmware (you had to trust their security team). - “Secure element” chips — same type used in passports and credit cards. - A simple message: “You don’t have to trust software, trust our hardware.” People accepted the closed source because they believed the chip itself physically *couldn’t* leak secrets. 💣 What Ledger Recover revealed When they announced Ledger Recover — a cloud backup that splits your private key into three fragments and sends them to **Ledger + two third parties — it confirmed two devastating facts: 1. The firmware can extract your private key. 2. The company decides when and how that happens. That’s like finding out your “vault” has a hidden maintenance hatch controlled remotely. Even if you don’t use Recover, you now know the mechanism exists. And that’s what destroyed their credibility — not the feature, but the betrayal of the model. 🧨 Consequences - Security professionals, auditors, and long-time crypto veterans dropped Ledger overnight. - Open-source hardware wallets like Trezor, Coldcard, BitBox, Keystone saw massive sales spikes. - Even MetaMask and other wallet companies began re-evaluating integrations. Ledger tried damage control, saying: “It’s optional! Your key never leaves without permission.” But permission is just a line of code — if it can happen, it can be exploited. 💀 In one sentence Ledger didn’t get hacked by criminals. They **hacked their own trust** — and once that’s gone, there’s no firmware update to restore it.

I think this nano s plus are the best of the ledgers as the nano t has blue tootbh which is another complexity and avenue for hacking. Good memory 1.5mb and does the job.
