Operating exactly as required with both voltage and current limiting ability.
Requires a lot of adjustment to get both voltage and current to required outputs, but having done so works brilliantly. Be sure to check with a multimeter before attaching to the device to be powered.

Works fine
With a 12V input and 9V 1A output, running it in constant current mode it gets extremely hot, turns out I had the input ground and output ground on a common rail but the constant current sense shunt is on the outputs negative connection!

Tricky to set up
With some tweaking, this module works just fine. Using a multimeter and a close eye on the leds as you adjust the current flow you can get it in the sweet spot. However, there's no way it will handle 5A without some active heat control.

Does as advertised
Simple little modules that do exactly what they say on the tin. I'm using them to under drive a 12v white LED strip at 9V. Took a little fiddling with a screwdriver and a multi-meter to dial in the voltage but it only took about 5 minutes.

Dodgy as heck
I bought one of these to replace a failed buck converter in a supercapacitor spot welder with identical footprint. I needed it to convert 12V to 5.5V. I was a bit bothered by how fine the adjustment had to be (like 1/8th of a turn was about half a volt) but adjusted as needed and went about my day. So you can imagine I wasn't terribly impressed when I came back to find the capacitors sitting at 8 volts. I pulled the device apart straight away to find the buck converter was now outputting 11.5V. I had to do the counter-clockwise 10 times thing again so clearly there was some kind of mechanical issue with the potentiometer. Fortunately the welder does not seem to have sustained any permanent damage, so I will be looking to replace this immediately.

Works well!
The modules work as described and can safely handle output currents up to 2A (I haven't tested beyond that). They're super easy to adjust. The only complaint is that the potentiometers seem to be a bit "jumpy", i.e. it's hard to set an exact current or voltage. It'll jump around in steps of around 50 mV and 20 mA, respectively, but only while turning the screw.

Utter Garbage
They just don't work. I tested both of them and neither responded to any adjustment of the resistors. A complete waste of money, time and effort. They will be returned to Amazon tomorrow.
