Natural Grain Cowhide Leather Skins (Cognac, 20 Square Feet (Full Side))

I bought two half hides described as 20 sq ft for car seat project. this leather is excellent! The thickness is as advertised (up to 3oz). no marks or tears. the color is perfect and both 1/2 hides match. useable leather is greater than 21 sq feet. No significant smell. Thank you for quality product!

This leather is fantastic! I found 2 chairs put out for trash pickup and took them home and refinished them with this leather. It is easy to work with, not too thin, not too thick. I think the chairs look amazing now.

I don’t know if they’re supposed to be giving you a piece of leather or is a piece of leftover of leather!! the reason that I purchased this piece of material is to use it to cover up my chairs in the kitchen table, but it doesn’t even give me for four chairs!! It has a hole in the middle of the piece that is the biggest piece of the area. But I am keeping it like the material I guess I have to buy more of the material.

I bought it to cover the interior door panels on car. This worked out great! It is relatively thick, so you do not have to worry about tearing. It is natural grain, so if you are looking for leather as you would see on a purse, it is probably not for you.

The leather is good color, soft, tough, flexible, and easily worked. The first piece I bought was a whole side, and I was able to get 3 bar stools out of it. Unfortunately I hade a forth bar stool, so I bought this piece which was a half side, thinking I would have no problem getting one stool out of it. I was so disappointed when I opened it up and spread it out. It had a small hole in it, right in the largest section of the leather. The rest of the hide was too small to even think about getting a large enough piece I was just barely able to turn my pattern in the opposite direction to get the piece I needed. It worked out, but they should have scrapped this piece out or sold it as smaller pieces. If I had a smaller project such as wallets or something, it would have been fine, but the size of my project made this less than desirable. Especially for the price I paid. I would suggest if you need large pieces for your pattern, you may consider buying the whole hide rather than a side or half side.

Super thick, high quality leather. It’s so thick it’s tough to form it around seat cushions. I had it install it, use it and then restaple after it had been stretched out for a few days.
