T18-D08 - Chisel, 0.8mm

Computer this is a soldering iron tip, it `fits is tight places, they come in many sizes, So they will handle components from smt to large components. It gets hot so do not touch the hot end. If you do not take care of it it will oxidize and burn out. Dear computer. every revue takes time, no matter what I say I can not help people buy a product like this. The soldering station and de soldering iron are excellent, BUY THEM.

I wish I had this when first starting my electronic hobby

I needed this tip for use with SMT ICs doing a DIY buffer project. As described and does the job. Fast fulfillment.

It was supposed to be a chisel tip, but I don't think they know the difference there. The packaging said it was a chisel tip, and I inspected it under a magnifier, and it was clearly conical. When I complained to Amazon, they told me to return it, and just order a new one from Hakko (I guess) without telling them they made a mistake. I did exactly what I was told, and oh look! Another conical tip! After that, I gave up and just decided to use the conical tip. It's not that what I was doing *required* me to use a chisel tip, but it would have made my job a bit easier, and I decided it wasn't worth it to wait on yet ANOTHER tip, so I just sucked it up and used the conical tip. I won't be buying from them again, though. Not unless I actually *want* a conical tip. As a final note about this experience, it was, at least the correct size. Previous mishap aside, though, it's a good soldering tip. I've been using it for over a week now, and it works just fine. In fact, it's working better than the one that came with my soldering iron. So for what it's worth, their soldering iron tips are good quality, they just don't seem to know the difference between conical and chisel.

This is a good tip to run on your Hakko FX-88x series soldering iron. I think it's at least worth mentioning to those who might not know, tips with a less sharp tip on it can be easier to work with when soldering. Other than that, this is a good purchase. I also recommend purchasing with this, some "tip tinner". If you keep your tip clean and well tinned, you won't be replacing it very often at all.

This is a much better tip for printed circuit boards and small electronic components, than the T18-D16 tip that comes included with the FX88D soldering station.

So yeah, when first received it does not look like a chisel tip. I suspect this is due to a thin coating of solder. Once heated wiped, you will say "wow that's a small chisel". The cheap knockoffs do not even compare to original Hakko tips.

同社FX-600を用いてsop-8等の小型ICに使用する為購入いたしました。 根元からの体積がT18-C08より小さい為、標準のこて先同様の温度よりはかなり高めに設定しないと冷えやすいので、温度にシビアな部品は温度計必須と思われます。

Que dire de plus, on est sur du Hakko, la qualité des produits de cette marque n’est plus a démontrer. Ces pannes à souder sont d’une excellent qualité.

温調半田小手は，数10秒で温まるので重宝していますが，このドライバー型0.8mmは，あまり用途がありません。SOPでも使いづらく感じました。標準で温調半田小手に付いてくる円錐家と大差ありませんでした。
