An excellent wireless camera system that's easy to install and provides outstanding performance.
Arlo's system is great. The wireless cameras are comparatively inexpensive, very easy to install, provide excellent image quality, and battery life in residential applications is measured in weeks or months, not hours. Coupled with Arlo's online capabilities, the system provides 30 days recordings that are easy to review and share. The only down side is a lag of several seconds between camera activation and alerting, depending on your wifi setup.

Won’t sync after charging and only had it a year if that even.
I have been a big fan of our law until now. Bought a camera for my mom‘s garage and I’ve been successful in charging it and then sinking it until now it will not sync and I would love to get my money back. I will not be buying another,Arlo camera because the original ones were the best. Arlo essential is not a good camera. Arlo should’ve just kept the first original ones and not updated them at all.

Could not connect to existing cameras
I received this unit in a plain box with no identification of the model number and of course did not expect directions but something would have been nice. I have a n Arlo account and 3 other cameras I like, but after spending hours trying to connect this one we could not. Very disappointing Returning it.

Disappointed
I purchased this camera in May of last year (2023) and it stopped working last month January 2024. I’ve had it connected to a solar panel charger this entire time and thought maybe the charger had stopped working, but I took the camera down and charged it with a regular arlo charger overnight, and it still did not show up like normal in the app. This same thing happened with the second “outdoor arlo essential” camera I purchased in May with this one, but that one only lasted about 4 months. I’ve owned 2 older arlo cameras for 4 years now and they still work. So either arlo is not good for outdoors or the newer versions are not as durable.
