Quality at a fair price
This ligature is of outstanding fit and finish. It actually looks better than the one that came with the YAS-275. We keep several "on board" as they tend to become bent and somewhat distorted. They are also easily stripped by the younger members of the family. Don't ask me how, but we have even lost one once. I like my instrument to look good and when the ligature becomes scratched or discolored, it's time to change it. Very happy with the price and shipping speed as well. It took only about ten days to receive it here in Saudi Arabia.

fits perfectly
I bought the Yamaha 4c mouthpiece from a different website for an old tenor sax and it improved the tone and ease of play, but it didn't come with a ligature. This YAC-1611 ligature fits the 4c perfectly and holds the reed firmly. It is solid and a good buy.

Holds reed nicely in place.
Does what it needs to - holds reed firmly in place on Yamaha mouthpiece.

It is made of very thin metal that is easy to bend...however the ligature is functional.
I'm a tenor sax player. This ligature is made of very thin metal that bends easily. Mine arrived partially squashed and I had to bend it back by molding it to my mouthpiece. As they say you get what you pay for. However the ligature does still work so I'm saving it just in case for some reason I need a back up. Another way I used it is that I had some older ligatures without screws so I was able to use the screws in this ligature on my vintage Meyers mouthpiece that I'm now using again.

Good ligature, prone to shipping damage.
This ligature is perfectly fine for someone starting on a saxophone. I bought this as a cheap ligature for when I switched to Tenor sax from Alto. Well, the package arrived on time, but Amazon had decided it would be a good idea to ship this very thin piece of metal in a flat envelope package. This lead to it being horribly crushed. After the failure of Amazon's shipping, I went to a local music store and bought the same ligature. It worked perfectly fine, and I can play my tenor great. My recommendation: Buy this ligature if you want something cheap to get started with, but don't buy it off of Amazon or any other shipping website. It is highly likely that any music store near you has this exact same ligature, or one very similar to it.
