Curcumin is a pigment found in turmeric that gives it its characteristic bright hue and has a range of health benefits. These include antibacterial, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. Because of these wide-ranging functions, turmeric has been studied in relation to arthritis, eye conditions, cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and more. Inflammation is a necessary process in the body, as it fights off harmful invaders and repairs damage caused by bacteria, viruses and injuries. However, long-term inflammation has been implicated in most chronic conditions such as heart disease and cancer, so it must be controlled, which is where anti-inflammatory compounds come in. Curcumin in turmeric has proven solid anti-inflammatory properties that block the action of inflammatory molecules in the body. Studies show positive effects of curcumin on people suffering from conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease, amongst others. Curcumin is a robust scavenger of oxygen free radicals, chemically active molecules that cause damage to the body’s cells. Free radical damage and inflammation are key drivers of cardiovascular disease, so curcumin can play a part in preventing and managing heart disease. In addition to antioxidant effects, turmeric has also been shown to lower cholesterol and triglycerides in people at risk of heart disease and may improve blood pressure. There is growing evidence that curcumin can cross the blood-brain barrier and may help to protect against Alzheimer’s disease. It reduces inflammation and the build-up of protein plaques in the brain, characteristic of people living with Alzheimer’s disease. There is some evidence that curcumin can help with depression and mood disorders. Turmeric supplements lowered depression and anxiety symptoms and depression scores in multiple trials. Combining turmeric with black pepper has been shown to increase curcumin absorption by an impressive 2000%. Other studies have shown that combining fats, such as olive or rapeseed oil, may also increase absorption. I started taking turmeric a while ago due to intense pain and clicking in my knees. I work out daily, and the pain was becoming unbearable. Turmeric helped me immensely with my knee pain and clicking, but also with bloating. I ordered the Ambrosial turmeric and ginger supplement because I have other products from the company, and I was delighted with their quality. This supplement aligns with the others I have, being of good quality. There are 60 capsules in the tub, all yellow-coloured, just like turmeric. Apart from the outstanding results for joint pain and bloating, I am thrilled with the antioxidant and metabolic rate increase turmeric provides. Its antioxidant properties are well-known, and many people take it for graceful ageing. The pepper extract improves its bioavailability, making it a good contender in the turmeric supplement market. I take one capsule in the morning with breakfast, which is easy to swallow. There are certain supplements that, when you find them, you know you will continue taking because they are incredible. Turmeric is one of those for me, along with NMN and NAC. The Ambrosial turmeric works well for me, and I hope it will work for you, too!

Before we begin, I got this item at zero cost through the Vine programme, that doesn't mean it gets a positive review though. User reviews are important, they're genuinely useful to buyers and we should use them, so here comes an honest and hopefully helpful one. ➡️ In the box ... ... you get a sealed bottle of capsules, itself factory sealed. ➡️ In use ... ... they're fairly good. Well produced and presented. Easy to swallow without aftertaste. As for their effectiveness, that's harder to determine. I was taking curcumin turmeric leading up to trying these and haven't noticed any change so I suppose I could say they're as effective as the turmeric I was already taking, which was working ok. It offered a mild reduction in pain symptoms. These seems to offer the similar results. ➡️ Overall impressions ... 👍 Well presented, sealed from factory. 👍 Seem as effective as others I was already taking. 🔍 And the big question, would I buy it? ... ... if it continues to offer the same results as slightly more expensive brands I would. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
